The recall effort against Republican Gov. Scott Walker has unexpectedly begun.
But instead of being filed by Democrats and grass-roots organizations who have vocalized their intentions to recall Walker for months, the petition was filed by David Brandt of Muskego.

Brandt filed the petition with the state Government Accountability Board Friday afternoon under the committee name "Close Friends to Recall Walker."
Brandt said in the official campaign registration statement that he was filing to "fulfill my friend's last request." He also checked a box that indicates he will not be raising much money toward the effort.

The Democratic Party of Wisconsin, which had announced its intention last month to launch the recall Nov. 15, quickly branded the move a "dirty Republican ploy," but it's not clear what Brandt's loyalties are.

"This is the Republican ploy we have been predicting would happen," says Graeme Zielinski, a spokesman with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. "The only reason this was filed was to open the dirty rain shower of unlimited corporate cash."

So the Dims talk about recalling Walker for months. Then a recall effort is started, and the Dims immediately attack it.

HAHAHa

But they are right, it is a Republican trick.

Brandt is a Walker supporter.

The unusual move of having a supporter file recall paperwork immediately angered Walker opponents, who suspected it was made to give the governor a chance to begin raising money before organizers begin their actual recall campaign.

Officials with GAB confirmed Friday that the formation of Brandt's committee would allow Walker to begin fundraising now, a full 11 days before the Democratic Party of Wisconsin had planned to officially start the recall effort on Nov. 15.

Phone messages left at Brandt's home were not returned. In the handwritten form, he listed himself as the committee's treasurer and said he should be exempt from filing campaign finance reports because the committee would not raise more than $1,000 in a calendar year. That small amount of funding would make it impossible to collect and organize a half million signatures....

For campaign purposes, that won't matter. Since the petition has been filed, under state law Walker can immediately begin receiving unlimited political donations from supporters to use for defending himself against a recall.

Got to give Walker credit. He's playing the left beautifully.

Stupid Liberal Tricks?
Not quite.

One of Walker's supporters launched it. To give Walker time to build up a war chest against a recall effort.

but it's not clear what Brandt's loyalties are.I guess we'll see how it works out. Why is it that the left wants recalls when they don't like the outcome of elections? Maybe they don't like our Republic after all?

I saw on the news this morning teachers had brought classes of small children down to protest against Walker. As if the children have a political opinion.

The board should fire the teachers and the principles who allowed that. Why are the electorate's tax dollars being spent on liberal ideology?

The kids have a stake in getting an education. Dragging them around as props for political theater isn't what the teachers are paid to do. If they have the time to do that, and still get the kids reading and doing math at grade level, then clearly, they have too much time on their hands, and somebody needs to do a manpower study in advance of layoffs. If they don't have the time to do that and prepare the kids for their future, then they need to decide whether they want to be teachers or protesters, or the state will decide it for them.

And that "stake" is leftist indoctrination aimed at their heart. They will lose their freedom forever to Nanny McGovernment and never get it back.

You're a fucking idiot. Wisconsin teachers have gotten raises, school systems can now hire more because they were able to get competing bids for just for their health care coverage's for teachers.

Solution? Privatize the stinkin' mess and let them see how the taxpayers make a living for a change.
