CNN) -- Occupy Wall Street organizers are planning a Veterans Day rally and concert featuring Joan Baez in New York City on Friday, as the movement marks its 56th day.

The Foley Square event dubbed "Honor the Dead, Fight Like Hell For the Living" marks the first time the Occupy Wall Street movement will hold a permitted event in New York, organizers say.

Shootings occurred at Occupy encampments in California and Vermont on Thursday.

A man was shot and killed in downtown Oakland where Occupy protesters have been camping for a month, CNN affiliate KTVU reported. The shooting stemmed from an argument near the encampment, police said.

Well with Joan Baez showing up, and calling it "Honor the Dead, Fight Like Hell For the Living" and then mentioning the people shoot and killed at the OWS protest, their "Honor the Dead" part is for those killed at the protest, and the "Fight Like Hell For the Living" part is their anti military part.

This won't be a salute to those who have/are serving, but an liberal attack on the military.

Even when she was booted from singing at the U.S. Army and Walter Reed Army Medical Center, she replied;

I have always been an advocate for nonviolence, and I have stood as firmly against the Iraq war as I did the Vietnam War 40 years ago. During that war, I could not, in good conscience, have "sung for the troops."
