I tried even reading the books but they are also bad :(

It would be real creepy if a bunch of men of the same age were all pumped to see 17 year old girls in a movie lol

My 11 year old niece read the books and is totally over them. She read the books because all her friends were reading them. She hasn't gone out of her way to see the movies. She likes Harry Potter, though.

One of my brother's 14 year old twins is totally into Twilight. She's too smart for it, but it's one of those teenaged things. It probably annoys my brother, which only encourages her.

From a movie buff and wanna be director's point of view it is ingenious in that they threw away the old formats and completely re-invented the vampire and werewolf genres.
Also, the director had enough sense to make the heroine herself rather plain and ordinary looking. Therein lies the appeal to the millions of girls her age who dare not hope the really cool guys will ask her out, but perhaps there is hope that they may be saved and even carried away by a really cool vampire dude.

I think that for most teenagers it is harmless. For movie buffs (like me) it is harmless. But for middle age women? They've lost their grip!:D

Real vampires do sparkle in the sun.....0.34 seconds before they burst in to flames and turn to ash. :D

Ha! Ha! ... paraphrasing Meryl Streep ... to Shirley Maclean in whatever the movie was called ... when Shirley said she was "middle-aged" ... in *my* case would have been ...

"Just how many 140 year olds do you know? " ... :rotfl:

Hells Bells! Who cares, 35, 60, or whatever ... who in their right minds would go nutz over a stupid Vampire movie?

Only the younger generation, that's who.

Who knows? Haven't even seen the trailer, so *really *shouldn't comment, should I now? :)

Oh well ...then again, who would have thought that this "grandma" would have beaten her 12 year old grandson on his Wii, at playing both golf and baseball, and sat down to watch a Shrek movie with him and enjoyed every minute of it, huh?

"Stay cool guys" :D They're only young once! With proper parenting, they'll turn out OK!~ Auntie Mame

My 2 nieces were so into this and made me watch the movies with them.
It was ok, better than a poke in the eye, but not as good as a foot rub.

The worst part is that the main vamp guy is so pasty white and gay looking.
I can't believe Bella chose him over the werewolf hunk...um...not that I really
watch this stuff :o

Ya right gotcha :D

Is there a female lead as mind numbingly boring as the chick that plays bella?

Ha! Ha!

No surprise there, darlin' ... what red-blooded male chauvinist, *wouldn't * like to see a well built-spandex-clad-good-looking woman, huh?

Plot or no plot, enjoy!!!

My hubby would as well, if he knew who she was, and it didn't interfere with his tennis, golf, football, watching sports stuff! :)

Oops! Just to be on the safe side ... had better not let him see this video! :D

A 200-year-old bloodsucker that dates teenage girls is a pretty good description of a Hollywood movie producer, which explains why they make these movies in the first place, but otherwise, the premise is just creepy as all get out.

SNL had a good take on it, though.

Most men who do not like "Twilight" have never seen Alice in action.
