WACO, Ga. -- A west Georgia business owner is stirring up controversy with signs he posted on his company's trucks, for all to see as the trucks roll up and down roads, highways and interstates:

"New Company Policy: We are not hiring until Obama is gone."

"Can't afford it," explained the employer, Bill Looman, Tuesday evening. "I've got people that I want to hire now, but I just can't afford it. And I don't foresee that I'll be able to afford it unless some things change in D.C."

Looman's company is U.S. Cranes, LLC. He said he put up the signs, and first posted pictures of the signs on his personal Facebook page, six months ago, and he said he received mostly positive reaction from people, "about 20-to-one positive."

But for some reason, one of the photos went viral on the Internet on Monday.

And the reaction has been so intense, pro and con, he's had to have his phones disconnected because of the non-stop calls, and he's had to temporarily shut down his company's website because of all the traffic crashing the system.

Looman made it clear, talking with 11Alive's Jon Shirek, that he is not refusing to hire to make some political point; it's that he doesn't believe he can hire anyone, because of the economy. And he blames the Obama administration.

"The way the economy's running, and the way my business has been hampered by the economy, and the policies of the people in power, I felt that it was necessary to voice my opinion, and predict that I wouldn't be able to do any hiring," he said.

Looman did receive some unexpected attention not long after he put up his signs and Facebook photos. He said someone, and he thinks he knows who it was, reported him to the FBI as a threat to national security. He said the accusation filtered its way through the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security and finally the Secret Service. Agents interviewed him.

"The Secret Service left here, they were in a good mood and laughing," Looman said. "I got the feeling they thought it was kind of ridiculous, and a waste of their time."

So Bill Looman is keeping the signs up, and the photos up -- stirring up a lot of debate.

"I just spent 10 years in the Marine Corps protecting the rights of people... the First Amendment, and the Second Amendment and the [rest of the] Bill of Rights," he said. "Lord knows they're calling me at 2 in the morning, all night long, and voicing their opinion. And I respect their right to do that. I'm getting a reaction, a lot of it's negative, now. But a lot of people are waking up."

This is likely an unwritten policy all across the country.

My bet is a lot of companys have the same policy, but just don't advertise it. I closed mine when Zippy got elected Jan 1 '08. I knew what was comin.

Like Rock pointed out, this is the unwritten policy across the nation. This company just has the balls to spell it out. Maybe the idiot O Blah Blah supporters will actually begin to think about the state of the economy instead of blindly supporting the Chief Marxist? Naw, that would require a base level of honesty and liberals cannot trade emotion for facts.

I seem to recall a number of liberals promising to leave the United States if Bush was elected or reelected. The difference is that they didn't follow through, because their livelihoods didn't suffer under lower taxes and predictable economic policies, while this guy's future viability are in doubt due to the chaotic policies coming out of the Obama administration.

So you are saying that "job creators" are deliberately sabotaging the economy and not hiring for the sake of politics?

How is this not class warfare?

They aren't hiring because the Obama administration is sabotaging the job market.

Incidentally what do you call what the OWS protestors plan on doing to retailers on black Friday? Is that not sabotage?

No, the potential job creators refuse to take unnecessary risk in a job market being deliberately sabotaged by Marxist DIMoRATS and communist-Socialist liberal idiots in this administration. Clear Pumpkin?:cool:

If they were the ones sabotaging the market, it would be. But you are assuming that he is punishing himself in order to spite Obama by not hiring needed people, which is exactly backwards. He is stating that he will not hire new personnel until he can gauge the economic outlook with some certainty, because he will not assume the risk of taking on workers who have to be paid, whose benefits must be paid, and who will cost him if he has to lay them off, without some sense of an economic improvement. The most telling sign of that improvement would be the end of the Obama administration.

Or, to put it another way, a recession is when your buddy loses his job, a depression is when you lose your job, and a recovery is when Obama loses his job.

Economics 101 explained. Not all jobs are created equal. Public sector jobs are future cost items. Private sector jobs are future revenue items. Apparently this employer like many of us instinctively understands this and while this administrations policies obviously favor the former to the exclusion of the latter we shall all have to keep our cards close to our chest until the deck is reshuffled, if we are to survive.

Zippy has never run anything other than his mouth as a community rabbel rouser. So many things are absent from his experience and thence his knowledge. Then he surrounds himself with like minded morons. Heroes of old were creators not talkers. Apparently not Czar Zippys heros though.
