President Barack Obama has virtually given up hope of winning the white middle-class vote and is instead concentrating on more affluent liberals and minorities, according to an Op-Ed in The New York Times.

“All pretense of trying to win a majority of the white working class has been effectively jettisoned in favor of cementing a center-left coalition made up, on the one hand, of voters who have gotten ahead on the basis of educational attainment — professors, artists, designers, editors, human resources managers, lawyers, librarians, social workers, teachers and therapists — and a second, substantial constituency of lower-income voters who are disproportionately African-American and Hispanic,” writes Times contributor Thomas Edsall.

Take a good hard look at the OWS scum...those miscreants...combined with hard left wealthy elites is what Obama is trying to mold as the new base for the Democrat Party.

..."New...?"Well, they've been trying to run away from that image for decades. Democrats definitely didn't want to look like filthy hippies out of the '60s after that debacle in Chicago in '68. Now they've turned around and embraced it. That is the albatross to hang around their necks for the next eleven months. Every single Republican out there should be running ads with that soundbite of Nancy talking about how wonderful the OWSers are.

As President, Obama never really seemed to be working for the working class. Both parties have given up on working class people.

It's not surprising if you look at how much money flows into politics, especially with new campaign finance reforms. Both parties have been bought by big business and special interest groups.

You aren't for or part of the working class either, you're a communist parasite.

There is no such thing as the "working class" Hasn't been since the nineteenth century. The "working class" work their way upwards. Your idiotic, myopic snapshot in time that you so desperately cling to is simply not a valid reflection of the world. Here in the United States, that place that you hate so much, people will, on average, go from poor to wealthy to poor and back to wealthy about four times in their lifetime. THAT'S actual reality, and that involves facts that are terribly inconvenient to Leftist goons like you.

No, no one is "holding anyone down." Yes, anyone has the capacity to "make it." No, taxing "the rich" will not manage to make the US cosmically same. You're busy pursuing your idiotic Leftist dream of Cosmic Sameness, and that just will not happen, just like any of your other Utopias. If you actually wanted your Utopia, you'd be in Venezuela or Cuba by now; neither are hard or expensive to reach. But you don't go because deep down, you know that the ultimate in Utopia is to be a member of the "ruling class," and you think that you can win that through favor.

Here's a hint, you fool: it won't work. Just ask the millions of Soviets who bent their knee at the altar of socialism only to come up empty, and usually either dead or mining for some damned ore or another in Siberia.

Be careful what you ask for, you little foolish imp, for some day you just might get it. You actually love the Leftist paradise of Nazi Germany (though you'll deny this vociferously), but you secretly wish that you were indeed living in such a paradise, amongst the ruling class, with those shiny boots on. Don't bother denying it; I've seen your kind far too many times in the past to be fooled by your denials.
