One so-called "host" is scurrying about locking down posts like this is some sort of game with a prize to the "host" who engages in the most locks!

DU should hire someone who is competent in web page and discussion board design to make this an easier board to understand and move around on if that's the purpose behind building a new DU3.

The proposed DU3 format will have exactly the opposite impact.

It's like trading down from a Mercedes to a Yugo.

Sid is having too much fun in this one...

30. They're talking about me...Edited on Wed Dec-07-11 11:06 PM by SidDithers
because I'm tweaking their noses about their terror at the prospect of Hosts locking threads.

Here's the thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph... (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x2442627#2443957)

Exchange starts at post 77, when a poster asks me what I'm going to do with no unrec button, and I reply that I'm going to enjoy my time as Host.

The paranoid among the group immediately jumped to the conclusion that I'm going to use my Super Powers to lock threads instead of unreccing them. Silly fools.

Of course, I'm not going to dissuade them of their assumptions. It's too much fun to see the bleating.

I've been clear in post after post at DU3 that Hosts only have the ability to lock posts for being off-topic in the forum or group they're hosting. And that Hosts who abuse that privilege won't be Hosts for very long.

Hilarious to see it's carried over into another thread http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/images/rofl.gif

I always liked Sid. :applause:
