Obama is plunging in the polls. This no longer just bleeding, it is a full blown hemmorage and all the Democrats have is a box of band-aids.

I can't help it. Here is another sports metaphor. You know what this situation reminds me of? It reminds me of the 1993 Wild Card Game between the Houston Oilers and Buffalo Bills. Houston had gotten off to a huge 28-3 lead at halftime. It was not just that the Bills were losing. They were looking inept and gun shy on the field. They showed no spark or capacity to turn the game around. Much like the McCain camp looked at the beginning of summer. Then the second half started (the conventions in the campaign). Right from the beginning of the second half, Buffalo scored kind like McCain picking Sarah Palin. Houston tried to stop the momentum building behind the Bills but instead kept muffing it, by shanking a punt, throwing an interception and fumbling the snap on a field goal attempt. In the end, Houston's early lead disappeared and Buffalo won 41-38.

Obama's campaign looks just the same, ineptly trying to stave off a building disaster but commiting gaff after gaff as their lead vanishes.

Let me just caution everyone. It ain't over til its over. And the debates will have an impact on the election. And a late scandal or slip can change things.

Save gloatin for when/IF McCain wins the election.

Sorry to pee in the cornflakes I'm just superstitious about pre-celebrations :D

Sorry to pee in the cornflakes I'm just superstitious about pre-celebrations :DThere are several DUmmies who have been coming over here for months posting polls and claiming that the polls are infallible since they showed NObama in the lead. But the moment that that lead dried up - Silence from the DUmmies.
