They had dedicated their careers to helping others escape poverty, she as a physician assistant in a city-run clinic in the Tenderloin and he as a clinical psychologist for inmates in the San Francisco County Jail system.

But now, less than a decade after they adopted, their 15-year-old son stands accused of strangling both Poff, 50, and Kamin, 55, then hiding their bodies in the back of the family's PT Cruiser. [...]

Co-workers said Poff and Kamin were having some arguments with their son, some of it having to do with him spending too much time in the Occupy Oakland encampment, but nothing that sounded beyond the scope of typical teenage rebelliousness.

Some people have problems. Some of those problems are mental health. Some of them might be in relation to the adoption and perhaps not accepting the authority of his parents. I really don't think OWS encouraged this boy to kill his parents.

Some people do not take the words "Get off your ass and get a job" at all well.

Damn, he strangled them both.

That's a hell of a lot different than just pulling a trigger or whacking someone with a bat.

Funny you should say this considering that when the Giffords shooting happened, much of the left, including the Sheriff of Pima County blamed it on the Tea Party movement even before we knew anything about the shooter. You libs are an interesting bunch you are. You are as quick to dismiss as you are to blame.

Who knows what happened to the kid in the first five years of his life, before he was adopted? Who knows what gene pool he comes from?

Those factors are probably more responsible for his killing of his parents than his OWS participation.
