Bad voter applications found,Clerks see fraudulent, duplicate forms from group

By Hook Or By Crook :The majority of the problem applications are coming from the group ACORN .

Several municipal clerks across the state are reporting fraudulent and duplicate voter registration applications, most of them from a nationwide community activist group working to help low- and moderate-income families.

The majority of the problem applications are coming from the group ACORN, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, which has a large voter registration program among its many social service programs. ACORN's Michigan branch, based in Detroit, has enrolled 200,000 voters statewide in recent months, mostly with the use of paid, part-time employees.

"There appears to be a sizeable number of duplicate and fraudulent applications," said Kelly Chesney, spokeswoman for the Michigan Secretary of State's Office. "And it appears to be widespread."

Chesney said her office has had discussions with ACORN officials after local clerks reported the questionable applications to the state. Chesney said some of the applications are duplicates and some appear to be names that have been made up. The Secretary of State's Office has turned over several of the applications to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

The U.S. Attorney's Office on Friday declined to confirm whether an investigation was taking place.

In recent years, ACORN's voter registration programs have come under investigation in Ohio, Colorado, Missouri and Washington, with some employees convicted of voter fraud.

ACORN officials said they were looking into the problem.

"We'll do an investigation to see what's happening," said David Lagstein, a spokesman for the Detroit office. "If it's really as many as that, it warrants further investigation."

In Pontiac, where several thousand applications have been submitted by ACORN in the last few weeks for the November election, the clerk's office is finding that numerous applications are sometimes filed under one name.

"What it causes is a slowdown of our operations," said Pontiac City Clerk Yvette Talley. "They're steadily coming in, and we are finding a huge number of duplications."

Talley said she could not provide an exact number.

Clerks are required to check their records against a statewide database of all registered voters within their jurisdiction, so it would be unlikely that duplications would allow voters to cast their votes more than once, Talley said.

"We catch them all, but it's taking up a lot of our time," she said.

This is my worst fear and the only way that Obama is going to be elected. And it could happen!
.................................................. ..
I live in Washington state and we watched as the Acorn counters came in here to elect our erstwhile Governor Gregoire by a count done three times, count em, THREE TIMES with persons who used city hall as their addresses. It happened here and to win, Obama will use the same method unless we stand up and do something about this. Chicago’s Cook county is as corrupt as it goes and this is Obama’s home ground. He will have plenty of help to win one way or another.
.......................................
It is saying that they have found many duplicate and and fraudulent voter registration forms in Michigan and they have all come from ACORN.
Why isn’t anyone talking about Zero’s 800,000 in campaign money given to ACORN to get out the vote.
Acorn has successfully gotten out the vote of dead people, people in prizon and people yet to be born not to mention illegals who have documents purchased.
................................................
When the democrats say every vote counts they aren’t talking about registered real voters they are talking about all the duplicate fraudlent votes.

We had a mess here

State probes voter registration drive (http://www.2theadvocate.com/news/politics/19754129.html)

Secretary of State Jay Dardenne said Tuesday he will meet today with a Democrat-affiliated group responsible for a voter registration effort that is inundating East Baton Rouge and other parish registrars with bogus and incomplete applications.

Dardenne said his investigators are trying to determine if any state election laws have been violated as thousands of voter registration cards have been dumped on registrars offices through the efforts of VIP.

“We have some very real concerns about the data we are getting from them,” Dardenne said.

VIP is a Washington, D.C., group hired by national Democrats to register some 70,000 new voters in advance of the presidential and other federal elections this fall.

“With an effort this big there’s always going to be glitches and problems along these lines,” said Brian Welsh, communications director for the Democrats’ Louisiana Victory 2008.

“Obviously, we are ready to work with the registrars of each parish to make sure it’s going as efficiently as possible.”

State Republican Party chairman Roger Villere on Tuesday called for Dardenne to investigate. Dardenne said he already had a probe well under way.

Dardenne met Tuesday with East Baton Rouge Registrar of Voters Elaine Lamb and registrars from Jefferson, Orleans and Caddo, where the effort has largely been targeted.

The registration cards must be checked out and that’s putting a major burden on the office staffs, Dardenne said.

Dardenne said cards are being submitted for people already on the voter rolls and “a significant percentage are being submitted without necessary information to register someone and “blatantly false information.

Two cards received in Caddo Parish had George W. Bush as the voter applicant with a 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. address in Shreveport, Dardenne said. Other cards have been filed for prisoners who cannot vote and dead people. In Jefferson Parish, a voter registration card was filed for the registrar of voters.

“We want to safeguard the integrity of the process by making sure any group seeking to register Louisiana voters provide specific information and it’s not bogging down registrars offices with work premised on false information,” Dardenne said.

He said staff assistance and training will be forthcoming from his office “to deal with what we believe are going to be increases in voter registration leading up to the fall presidential election.”

The U.S. Attorney's Office on Friday declined to confirm whether an investigation was taking place.

Which, if you can read between the lines, means there is one going on. ACORN's fraudulent activities are nationwide.

Would any of ACORN's activities fall under RICO?

And they say the GOP are the crooked ones when it comes to electtions. :rolleyes:All one needs to understand is that Democrats are masters of projection. If they accuse someone else of a crime, you can bet that they commit that very crime on a regular basis.
