Tea party leader warns Romney: Don’t expect us to campaign for you

The leader of the Tea Party Nation organization has a blunt message for likely Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney: Tea partiers will likely vote for you, but don’t expect them to get energized and campaign for you.

“The tea party is not going to coalesce around Romney,” Judson Phillips told The Daily Caller on Thursday. “Most of us will vote for Romney, but we will not be out there with signs for him or in his campaign.”

“It’s difficult for us to back a candidate our constituents don’t believe in and aren’t excited about,” Perkins told CNN, suggesting that social conservatives will instead focus their efforts on helping Republicans win control of the U.S. Senate in 2012.

A few of Romney's assets: He's not a Marxist. He didn't cut his teeth on, and wasn't raised on Black Liberation Theology and Critical Race Theory. He wouldn't spend three minutes in the pew of a church where the "pastor" asked God to damn America. He wouldn't put an Eric Holder in charge of the DOJ. He wouldn't put 35 unelected Marxist czars into positions of power. He wouldn't put an Elena Kagan on the Supreme Court. He wouldn't foment and sanction a race war.

In short: He's Not 0bama. So many of us will not be voting so much FOR Romney as much as we will be voting AGAINST Obama.

What makes you think that she isn't a Tea Partier? Most of us at CU are to the Tea Party as DU is to OWS, except, of course, for that whole soap and water thing that OWS doesn't seem to grasp.

Besides, it's the talking point that counts, and if Annoyo can repeat it often enough, he hopes that it will be true. However, the Tea Party doesn't strike too many people as crazy, even after the relentless media war on it, while OWS, which benefited from the combined media resources of the major networks, CNN, MSNBC, the Democratic Party and the various other MSM types, is seen as obviously deranged.

Isn't this like saying Revenge of the Jedi (ep 3) is a good movie because there was no dumb kids, no dumb romance plot, no Jar Jar, and it didn't ruin Han Solo or the Millennium Falcon (whereas ep 1 and 2 ruined everything from the Force, to every other major/cool character from the originals).
