I heard about this a while back on the radio (forget where) and the announcer said this channel has more subscribers than Al Gore's Current TV has viewers. I don't know if that's true but it would be funny as hell if it is.

I assumed that dogs were already watching MSNBC for Rachel Maddow.

When Portia (my beloved Rottweiler) was still with us, I tried to get her interested in doggie stuff on TV and she didn't appear to be making the connection between the images on TV and herself. Perhaps she did not see herself as a dog. Come to think of it, I can't recall ever showing her herself in a mirror.
I know she paid attention to the TV sometimes though, because doorbells on TV would get her attention. The funny thing about that is that a standard "ding dong" doorbell on TV would send her running to the front door sometimes, but my real life doorbell is wired backwards so she only ever heard the kitchen-door chime.
