Biden Apologizes to Obama for Same-Sex Marriage Comments

As you all should know, if you have paid attention. Obama wasn't the one who came out in support of gay marriage. It was Biden who said Obama did. Which kinda would hint they had discussed it in private and Joe being Joe opened his mouth and put Obama in a tough spot.


Vice President Joe Biden apologized to President Obama on Wednesday for getting ahead of his boss by coming out publicly in favor of same-sex marriages, sources familiar with the exchange told ABC News.


The conversation took place in the Oval Office before Obama sat down with ABC News’ Robin Roberts for an interview during which he announced support for the unions, the sources said.


Biden set into motion frenzy over Obama’s position on same-sex marriage after saying Sunday on “Meet the Press” that he was “absolutely comfortable” with the unions.
Obama told Roberts yesterday that Biden “probably got out a little bit over his skis, but out of generosity of spirit.”

I'm trying to figure out what the apology was for. They both favor it. Why can't the reporter or the pres/vp be honest and say they're sorry for a political blunder, because as far as I can see that's the only thing that went wrong here.

There's a poll out there 67% of people think the "announcement" was for political reasons. Whoops!

But Obama hadn't settled on the idea of coming out in support of it as he feared what happened could happen. And Biden jumped the gun and forced Obama to do it.
