Don't question or denegrate the Dear Leader.

Hmm... Is it racist of me to point out that the teacher is obviously black?

Please tell me that's a goof. It's incredibly stereotypical.

Wow. That teacher is a complete loon.

It's a good thing that he got her on tape. She'd have happily flunked him otherwise.

That teacher has no one's attention.

That teacher has no one's attention.

Yeah, but she still grades her class. And if it's high school, that kid's college admission could be hurt by her grade. Taping her was the smartest thing that he could have done. Now he has documentation that she's a partisan shill.

Where is the principal doing the right thing,,,like firing her for her lack of professionalism, her lack of respect, her lack of knowledge, her lack of a lesson plan?????

Her arguments were typical of the left; nothing to do with the topic and loud and shrill.

THIS, is what our schools have become under decades of liberalism and huge minority influence.

Excellent!

Now, an open invite for all liberal moonbats:

Either change your false, faulty, stupid opinions and world view to match the facts, or you need to be the ones who shut up and go away. I'm tired of you idiots stifling reasoned argument and debate with idiotic protests and false claims. I'm sick of your talking points that are packaged and handed to you by the liberal media being Parroted ad nauseum even after a thourough debunking. I'm tired of your childish antics of shouting down Conservative speakers.

Do the USA a favor and leave, please.

This is good news, as the school was originally going to support the teacher until it became obvious that she was out of her mind. However, now it's time for parsing the left! We will take statements made by defenders of the teacher and examine them for their meaning. Everybody ready? Let's go!

The Rowan-Salisbury School System expects all students and employees to be respectful in the school environment and for all teachers to maintain their professionalism in the classroom," a statement from the school system stated on Friday. "This incident should serve as an education for all teachers to stop and reflect on their interaction with students. Due to personnel and student confidentiality, we cannot discuss the matter publicly."

The student has gone on Fox and been identified by name, as has the teacher. What confidentiality issue is at stake? Oh, you mean the other teachers who might say something equally stupid that you don't want to have to defend? Got it.

School board member Kay Wright Norman calls the incident "unfortunate." She says that educators have an obligation to speak fact. Norman feels the teacher was baited from the beginning but said a teacher can't let let personal interest interfere with classroom discussions.

Meaning: It's unfortunate that she got caught. Now we won't be able to turn the school into an Obama campaign headquarters with all of this scrutiny. Hopefully, the union will understand, because even with our health care plan exempted by a waiver from Obamacare, I still want to keep my kneecaps.

Several students at the school Monday defended Ms. Dixon-Neely by saying she is a "good teacher" who "cares about her students." Others say the issue is being blown out of proportion.

Yes, she cares enough to scream in their faces when they think past her talking points. And saying that it was "blown out of proportion" is a standard liberal line when they get caught doing something that they shouldn't.

"He was wrong for setting her up like that, he could have just went in and talked to her," Student Desmond Turner said.

According to the article, she started the discussion by trying to repeat the Obama campaign's talking points about Romney being a bully. The student didn't set her up, he just documented what she said and did. No doubt that Desmond subscribes to the Marion Barry school of jurisprudence, where "The bitch set me up" is a valid defense for being caught on camera or tape doing something you shouldn't have been.

I bet that a simple academic record review of this "teacher" would turn up some embarrassing grades and poorly written theme/research papers. She sounds like a homeless bag lady that somehow made it through college. She is an embarrassment to the profession and sadly typical of our "teachers" in public schools.

She showed no respect for the kid at all, that's my issue. Plus, she lied about people being arrested for disagreeing with W, in order to make a point about criticizing Obama.

A teacher of older kids is allowed to express a political opinion, as long as they qualify it as such and allow those who hold different opinions to express themselves appropriately. This teacher berated and tried to intimidate this kid because she disagreed with him about politics. That has no place in a school setting.

Affirmative action is what got her through college. I'd be willing to bet some kind of "African American Studies" is in her tool belt.

I know teachers can't get fired until they commit 10 murders while simultaneously trying to overthrow the government but I was just hoping.

And yet, it happens all of the time. I had to take a college class in the history of documentaries (it was an art history requirement), and the teacher was an old-school lefty who kept trying to radicalize the class. She wasn't as bad as the teacher on the tape (for one thing, years of toking had made her much mellower), but after we'd dissected a particularly silly piece of leftist agitprop, she decided to bring in a documentary from some film collective buddies of hers, which she prefaced with the comment that we needed to understand that there were people throughout the world who hated us, and for good reason. She then proceded to show a film of interviews of Vietnam-era antiwar activists that had the class in stitches. The goofy, incoherent stoners and slackers who were barely capable of articulating anything more complex than a standard request for spare change were so obviously clueless that even she had to backpedal. The only persons interviewed who weren't complete idiots were some of the veterans, who actually were able to articulate some legitimate gripes, but when she asked what the implication of that was, I responded that military service appears to spark better critical thinking skills, which was clearly not what she had in mind.

Her final exam was a choice between an oral answer to one question out of four presented, or written answers to all four (minimum of a half page per). I chose the written answers and submitted about fifteen pages total, just to make sure that I got credit for the class.

Affirmative action is what got her through college. I'd be willing to bet some kind of "African American Studies" is in her tool belt.

While I'm sure that she probably took at least one or two classes in grievance studies, I think that it's a pretty safe bet that she was an education major, which is one of the least academically rigorous disciplines that you can take in college, unless you go through on a sponge-diving scholarship. From a Heritage Foundation paper on teacher compensation:

Although the College Board is reluctant to say exactly what the SAT measures, it is essentially an IQ test.19
In 2010, the College Board asked students taking the SAT about their intended college major. Students who
indicated that education was their intended major earned a combined math and verbal score of 967, about
0.31 standard deviations below the average of 1,017, meaning the 38th percentile in a standard normal distribution.
20 In contrast, students intending to major in engineering had average combined SAT scores of 1,118.

Bottom line: She's a dolt who's been educated beyond her intelligence, which isn't saying that she had much to start with.

Been an update.

Seems there has been a punishment of sorts for what happened.

From Jawa.

Remember The Unhinged NC Teacher Who Told Her Student Criticizing Obama Was A Criminal Offense? (http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/212782.php) If you don't remember, go read about it HERE (http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/212357.php).

It appears she was right. Not in the eyes of the law, but rather in the eyes of the liberal-leaning school system. The young man who challenged the teacher while recording it on his cellphone has been facing harassment not only from Tanya Dixon-Neely, the unhinged teacher, but also from other students who are related to Dixon-Neely and the school's administrators.

Fearing their son's safety, the parents of the young man have requested help from the school itself. So far, the school has refused safety accommodations. In fact, the school administration seems to be blaming the young man (http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/06/24/NC-student-interview-harassment) for the negative publicity (emphasis mine):

[S]ome of the other students have said they are out to get the young man; the teacher, Tanya Dixon-Neely, has relatives who are students in the school. The young manís family, fearing for his safety, requested for the young man to finish the last three weeks of school at home, but the school refused. [...]

According to the videotaperís sister, not only did the school authorities reject the appeal for home-schooling, they gave him a suspension on his school record for videotaping in the classroom -- the first suspension ever issued for such an action, despite the fact that other students have also videotaped on school grounds.

The young manís sister stated that assistant principal Antoine Brisbon said to her brother, ďThat was a very stupid thing you did. You have damaged the school. Our staff is taking a beating because our phones are nonstop. This is all over the country.Ē
Yeah, it had nothing to do with an ignorant, immature teacher who continues to harass the student. It had nothing to do with the school district hiring a bigoted, loud-mouth teacher who unethically indoctrinates students with flawed political beliefs. It was the student's fault for having the audacity to expose them.

While criticizing Obama is not a criminal offense, it certainly appears to be a punishable offense. This thug of a teacher is making certain of that, with the school district's blessing.

Why is liberalism looking more and more like radical Islam? With radical Islam, the problem isn't Islamic terrorism, the problem is the islamophobes who insist on exposing the link to Islam. With radical Islam, those who speak out against human rights violations are the instigators, not those who commit the atrocities. With radical Islam, its the uncovered woman at fault, not the rapist.

Liberalism is very much like Islamism. Its just not yet as violent. Yet.

Did she say "Obama be President"? (5:13 on the tape.)

And did the kid say, "Everybody talked shit about Bush?" (6:18; 6:26 on the tape)

And at 6:32, the teacher yells "Sit down! Sit down a minute!"

What the hell kind of school is this?

(That kid sure knows how to push her buttons.)
