At least this guarantees that they won't be remaking a second Green Lantern movie with Ryan Reynolds. If they do, maybe the name of the movie would be "Brokeback Lantern".

Future storyline: GL spends a night in a bathhouse and then has to figure out which of his dozen or so partners still has the ring up his fourth point of contact before the next JSA meeting.

Alan Scott? yeah that sucks, but he's not mainstream GL anymore, nor was he part of the Green Lantern Corps, his powers don't come from the Guardians. plus it's side universe.

When I saw GL I thought it was Hal Jordan (who Reynolds played) but since it's not, nor a main Universe character anymore, w/e. He's not the first or last gay/lesbian character. I doubt the Earth 2 comics will stick around very long anyway

I wonder if his ring will help his descending T-cell count?

AIDs is nothing to joke about. If a character is made gay, so what? And why the insinuation that because the guy is gay, he'll have a "dozen partners" in a night? I've never gotten the rampart disdain for gays around here. I'm straight myself but as long as gay people don't harass me I don't care what they do...It doesn't effect me. And if it bothers you, that's your right and it's also your right to just forbid Green Lantern stuff in your house if you have kids...But to make light of a terrible disease...It seems tasteless at best. I wouldn't joke about it or even wish it on my worst enemy.

Well we dont live in a bubble, I cant protect my kid 24/7 from the onslaught of this crap. Its a losing battle I fight but I'd rather fight then believe as you do. Sorry that people have contracted HIV but its nearly 100% their fault living their lifestyle as they do. I dont feel pity for them, they choose their fate sleeping with members of their own sex.

Allan Scott? Considering his outfit, it's not that much of a stretch:

So let me ask you all something. If you create a villain on DC Universe Online, in your level 29 mission, the final boss is that of Allen Scott. When you beat him, does that constitute a hate crime? Also, wouldn't it have made sense to make John Stewart gay? This way they'd have a few bases covered considering Stewart is black.

The dozen partners thing is based on gay male promiscuity, which is well documented. Need links?

I don't want to surprise anyone too much, but this IS a fictional character. Only a cartoon, in fact.

Yes, it is. And so were the characters in Uncle Tom's Cabin, To Kill a Mockingbird, Aesop's Fables and a host of other works of fiction. Some might consider them somewhat influential.

I probably wouldn't care if it were a new character, but the Earth 2 Green Lantern was one of the first comic characters that I ever saw when I was a kid (my mom's library had Jules Feiffer's history of the comics, which included the origins of Green Lantern, the Flash, the Specter and a bunch of other characters), and he wasn't gay for the first sixty years of his existence. These kinds of reboots alienate anyone with any memory of the character and don't attract new readers. I also really loathe PC reboots that are meant to make the editors look hip, regardless of what they do to the character.

Heck, I'm filing this under 'stuff that gets me so upset I just want to scream'.

I am so sick of this tolerance and understanding core message of Christianity b.s. So what?

And what's Ryan Reynolds going to do now?

2 things. #1, forcing someone to accept something that they don't believe in is not tolerance. Take your view of Christianity. You are a total hypocrite and yet you don't see it which is typical of liberals like yourself. You bash conservatives and Christians with every breath you can muster with the same bigotry and hatred you accuse us of having. But this is to be expected because people like you like to think you have an open mind but the minds of the left are as closed as a new jar of pickles. 2nd, Ryan Reynolds played Hal Jordan not Allan Scott so your attempt at snark fails miserably.

It was going to happen sooner or later.
The fact the superhero is over 70 years old might find him needing Viagra.

As opposed to heterosexual male promiscuity. Every sizable town in the US has a prostitution business district. Every military base has prostitution business aimed at it. Let's not forget about Asian whorehouses.

La Belle formerly known as the Mona Lisa is a massage parlor in Bangkok that specializes in soapy massages. New Petchburi Road, Next door to Siam Hotel.

Emmanuelle is also a top massage parlor in a well-established area in Bangkok. 55 Ratchadapisek Road, Dindaeng, Bangkok

Hi-Class is smaller than the average massage parlors in Bangkok but it is just as nice and safe. Behind Emmanuelle, Ratchadapisek Road, Bangkok

Monika is a massage parlor that is actually in the same building as the La Belle, this parlor is different from the La Belle in that its specialty is bath oil massage. This brothel is located on the second floor of the La Belle’s building and is just as nice. 2nd floor Mona Lisa Massage, New Petchaburi Road, Bangkok

Poseidon is a ten-story entertainment building that has different categories of women on every floor. 209 Ratchadapisek Road, Dindaeng, Bangkok
