View Full Version : Your faux "Faux 'news'" outrage for the day

On the June 14 edition of Fox News' Fox & Friends, after Steve Doocy talked about the gender integration of the Navy Sea Chanters, co-host Brian Kilmeade made a sexist comment that caused co-host Gretchen Carlson to walk off the set. From Fox & Friends:

KILMEADE: Women are everywhere. We're letting them play golf and tennis now. It's out of control.

CARLSON: You know what? You know what.

KILMEADE: She's out.

CARLSON: You read the headlines. Since men are so great. Go ahead. Take them away.

KILMEADE: All right. Finally.

CARLSON: Take them away.

CARLSON: Go ahead.

KILMEADE: Leaving an all male crew.

CARLSON: In all your glory, go for it.

Video (giving the critical context that Media Splatters conveniently aborted) at the link.

Since when does media matters give a crap about Gretchen Carlson I wonder. She's 'the enemy', voting against her own best interest. Anything to forward their agenda apparently.

edit: after watching the video, she doesn't even seem to be as mad as they made it sound. Looking at other 'headlines' on that site, it seems mm has zero sense of humor.

I told you. :friendly_wink: Strip something of it's visual and audio context and you can make it seem like anything you want it to.

I feel badly for Gretchen, if for no other reason than that she is a reasonably intelligent person who is stuck with two dumbasses for cohosts. Kilmeade appears to be memorizing his lines, not providing any kind of factual analysis of any news story. Doocey is a weatherman who looks like the guy who plays the sun in the Jimmie Dean breakfast commercials.
