Monday June 15 1863

Gen. Robert H. Milroy had been warned that Confederate forces were nearing his position at Winchester, Va. He had even been warned that there were quite a lot of them. He did not seem to comprehend that it was the entire Army of Northern Virginia. By the time he decided to pull out, about 1 a.m., it was too late. Part of Ewellís corps under Edward Johnson was behind him at Stephensonís Depot. Milroy lost 4000 of his 6900 men and many tons of supplies.

Maybe you can add to it. I dumped the gauge yesterday with 3.5" in just a week's time.
