Report: 'Today' to drop Ann Curry
June 20, 2012, 7:47 PM EST

TheWrap (http://www.thewrap.com/) Ann Curry: Here 'Today,' gone tomorrow?
The New York Times (http://mediadecoder.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/06/20/nbc-prepares-to-replace-ann-curry-on-today/?smid=tw-share) reports that Curry, who replaced Meredith Vieira as co-anchor on NBC's morning show "Today" last year, is on her way out, with a decision coming as early as next week.
According to the Times, NBC executives are negotiating with Curry in an effort to find a different position for her, possibly as a foreign correspondent. The Times' Brian Stelter writes that Curry, who is reluctant to give up the position that she assumed a mere year ago, has hired attorney Robert Barnett, who represented Christiane Amanpour during her exit from ABC News' "This Week," to represent her in the negotiations

Do you watch the Today Show, the CBS show, or Good Morning America? I generally don't watch any of them very much.

Do you watch the Today Show, the CBS show, or Good Morning America? I generally don't watch any of them very much.Only by virtue of the fact that they are coming on as I walk out the door in the morning 98% of the time. Frankly, I find Matt Lauer unsufferable. My best local news (IMO) is an NBC affiliate, though, so I usually have them on in the morning.

I watched The View once when I was home ill. What a colossal dumptruck of manure that show is. I'm happy to miss that garbage when I'm off being productive during the day.

I watch the Today show while I'm getting ready for work. I like Ann Curry, I like her far more than Katie Couric. I also liked Jane Pauly, back in the day, and I always liked Bryant Gumble. Matt is one of those guys who never should have gotten the caesar hair cut.

I think the women of the morning news business have those red lights in their palms, a la Logan's Run, and when they start to look like they might be over 40 years old, they must go.

Great line noonie! :applause:

Generally, I don't watch TV first thing in the morning, too busy reading Breitbart, while listening to Neal Boortz. Will occasionally tune into "Morning Joe" on MSNBC ... :vomit: just to see that twit Mika react to something that I know will drive her crazy!
