They were "bored", you see (http://radio.foxnews.com/toddstarnes/top-stories/teens-desecrate-9-11-memorial.html):

The New York Dept. of Education has launched an investigation over reports that a group of middle school students were caught throwing trash into the reflecting pools of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum during a recent school field trip.

(...)

Eyewitnesses told the Daily News that the kids threw empty soda bottles and baseballs into the pools — marking the original footprints of the World Trade Center towers.

Um... How did students have Sodas' in a NY school least of all. (Nanny State) And why take baseballs on a field trip? And where were the guardians?

But it gets better.

In addition, one of the students reportedly tried to bring firearm ammunition into the site. Police said they found three .33-caliber rounds in a plastic bin in the security area.

They were taking ammunition too? What kind of school is this?

I like this next part.

(...) Al Hagan, president of the Uniformed Fire Officers Association. “One can only hope that these children do not become lost and that they learn from their mistakes.”

But that’s not likely.

One student told the newspaper that “no one was disrespecting. It was nothing like that. Everyone was kind of bored and it was just like something to do.”

(...)

“They were making jokes and throwing stuff in the fountain,” said another student. “It didn’t seem like a big deal.”

Vandalism and smuggling ammunition goes beyond immaturity. These are criminal acts, and the kids need to be held accountable so that they learn that this kind of behavior is wrong. You do understand the concept of right and wrong, don't you? If not, I'm sure that there's a junior high school in NYC where you would be perfectly at home.

Do you think you'll get an honest answer from this troll?I don't expect any answer because he is a dump and run POS.

If by some chance he does decide to answer I would like to hear what action he thinks should be taken.

Middle school students on a field trip had ammunition with them? The vandalism needs to have consequences (again, I'm big on making the punishment fit the crime, so making them clean up public parks/buildings is my idea of justice), but having ammo with them is very concerning. It's NY public schools-don't they walk through a metal detector at school? All the high schools and middle schools in Detroit have metal detectors.

It's obviously a typo. NYC has extremely tight gun laws, there is no way this could be true.

How are their bullet laws?

Very restrictive:

http://www.nysrpa.org/files/nyc-admincode.pdf

3. It shall be unlawful for any person not authorized to possess a pistol or revolver within the city of New York to possess pistol or revolver ammunition, provided that a dealer in rifles and shotguns may possess such ammunition.

4. It shall be unlawful for any person authorized to possess a pistol or revolver of a particular caliber within the city of New York to possess pistol or revolver ammunition of a different caliber.

Unless these kids were licensed to possess the weapons that the ammunition could have been loaded into, they were in violation of the law.
