This guy just doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut when his big, fat foot is poised to hop into it.

Ultimately Mr. Romney, I think, is going to have to answer those questions, because if he aspires to being president one of the things you learn is, you are ultimately responsible for the conduct of your operations, but again that's probably a question that he's going to have to answer and I think that's a legitimate part of the campaign.

Fred Thompson succinctly and wittily summed this up on Twitter:

Obama angrily hits Romney on Bain:"you're responsible for conduct of your operations". Easy, Mr President. Not so fast. Not so furious

Ouch! And SCORE!

Romney doesn't have to answer any questions from the obama campaign. It's just a guess, but I think that if there was a problem with any of Romney's taxes, the IRS would already be looking. As for Bain, that's been answered to the satisfaction of everyone but a desperate campaign that can't make anything stick.

And Romney has come to life. Just watched the streaming video of his stop at Bowling Green Ohio. He's scoring points, just like his speech from yesterday. What I like too, most of the stop was answering questions from people in the crowd. That's off the cuff remarks, and he was good.
