I would classify Oregon as a Safe D

I think it's wrong on Missouri. I think we are leaning right because of Claire McKasskill. (sp?)

Mass should also be leaning dem, not solid dem (At least for this year anyhow).

If you go to a liberal site and look at their election map, they already have obama with 300+ electoral votes, and Romney with around 180. They all seem to think that obama is going to win by a landslide.

You'd think Romney would carry his home state like Mondale did in 1984. Maybe Massachusetts is dumber than Minnesota. (If so, not by much.)

I think the state of Washington is going to surprise people. It very well could go to Obama but we have a strong conservative who is running ahead of "carpetbagger extraordinaire" Jay Inslee by the name of Rob McKenna. He has been the AG for the last 4 years and despite the leanings of this state, threw his hat into the lawsuit against ObamaCare.

If anything, that chart should show WA as "leaning D" but by no means is it in the bag.

I would question VA - should show some bluing and wonder if AZ is anywhere near that strong a red given Gabby and the Mexican influence.

Chart is marked "UVA Center for Politics"

We can all hope. But as long as a state carries Patty Murray as one of their senators, there is not all that much hope that they will come to their senses.

But we can hope.

Democrats outnumber Republicans in Florida. Not a huge majority, but complicated by conservative inland Democrats and liberal coastal Republicans.

Joe Arpaio wins with over 70% in Maricopa elections. It would be safe to say that a large portion of the people who identify as "Mexican" are not eligible to vote.

Wisconsin and Pa. should both be listed as tossup. Mass. is blue because they have been lost like NY and Cali. And what I would do to see this again:

And your source? Oh! I forgot - you know it all.

I'll trust your answer about as far as I can toss Sheriff Joe with him fighting the effort.

Ahhh, but there's a bunch of us Independents, as well. I kind of think the Indies in FL will break for Romney. Obama had his chance and, IMO, blew it by putting his Health care agenda ahead of the economy. POOR judgement, that.

Edited to add: The first maps got lots of pretty colors. :)

The independents are who will make this election. With out them obama is toast.
