Let me say this before every one jumps on this.

Agree with what he did, or disagree with what he did. He was still a human in the end. Its best to leave it at that.

If you have difficulty in understanding that, then ask your self this, do you want to look as bad as the left does when some on on the right passes away? For example, Tony Snow. Remember how they danced, sang, chirped he got what he deserved?

Lets show some class, some thing the left forgets. And not become as the left is.

Rest in peace Specter.

"Moderate." Sure. Right. Whatever.

To his credit, he served honorably stateside in the Air Force during the Korean War, stayed married to one woman until his death, and had two sons and four grandchildren -- grandchildren who are now undoubtedly very sad and missing their grandpa. RIP, Mr. Specter.

It's still sad when someone who served his country for a long time dies.

I would expect evil comments at both DU and at Free Republic, but not here.

"Moderate???"

He supported gun rights. That made him a "moderate," apparently.

I thought moderate meant Ron Paul supporter?

Condolences to the family.

That's as good as it's gonna get. He may have been a great family man and his family is surely grieving, but as a politician and statesman?

I don't think so.
