This week, MSNBC “star” Chris Matthews made the following statement (http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2012/10/18/MSNCs-Matthews-Criticizing-The-President-Is-Unconstitutional)http://global.fncstatic.com/static/v/all/img/external-link.png, clearly speaking out of frustration as he watched President Obama wilt under the scrutiny of the second presidential debates where he was challenged repeatedly by Republican Mitt Romney.

“I don’t think he understands the Constitution of the United States…He’s the president of the United States. You don’t say, ‘you’ll get your chance.’”

Chris Matthews was angry with Romney challenging the president on his record during the course of an election to unseat him.

Imagine that.

That man certainly has a thrill running up something of his for Obama.

I used to watch HardBall when Chris at least pretended he was neutral but those days are long gone...

I did too. Before I gave up on TV all together.

Chris seems to think that Obama is due the same deference as Hugo Chavez or Fidel Castro. This is why the left needs to be kept out of power. They have no grasp of the Constitution or of limited government. They see themselves as our rightful rulers, and any dissent as treason. Challenging our masters is not to be permitted.

Why does Matthews think the President is above campaigning and everything that comes with it?

Where was this logic in 2004?

Why does Matthews think the President is above campaigning and everything that comes with it?

He only thinks that with a Liberal President.

Where was this logic in 2004?

Bush was a Republican. Then it was o.k.

I don’t think he understands the Constitution of the United States…He’s the president of the United States. You don’t say, ‘you’ll get your chance.’I was just flipping through my handy-dandy pocket Constitution. It didn't say anything about getting chances.

Interesting note though: When deciding how to address the president the Senate initially proposed he be addressed as "His Highness the President of the United States of America and Protector of their Liberties". Maybe that's what Matthews was thinking about.

Fortunately, the Congress comprosmised on "President of the United States".
