I blocked Faux News on my hotel room's TV

Ok, it's not much and the hotel is in Springdale, UT next to Zion National Park (an outpost of Blue in a really, really Red state), but I feel better having saved the next occupant from the Rightwing drivel.

I don't know why I haven't been doing this before...
"Freedom of choice for me but not for you."

4. I put the parent lock on the big screen tv at our Eagles Lodge.

I was left alone with the remote just long enough to do it. It caused a little bit of a stink too. We bought that from a local independant aplliance place and eventually their tech fixed it. I never asked just how, that would give away it being me that did it maybe. Either he replaced the chip or got their tech support to override the PW. It was funny though. The half-wits were without FOX "News" for at least a month. That is mostly the old day time drunks that are into it. Later on it's all sports or the music is cranked up.

10. If you use Parental Controls on a TV like that,

Set the passcode to a jumble even you won't remember.

11. Good idea... I wish I had thought of that!

We should start doing it to every TV in every hotel room we stay in.

13. What about this idea?

Since you have the freedom not to watch...

1) Don't turn the channel to Faux.

2) Let the rest of the guests who stay in that room after you have access to any channel they want? I don't know. Someone like this may not last long on DU.

They sound like a bunch of kids, unintelligent kids. It's the type of things dems do, like the stupid, petulant tricks Clinton's bunch pulled when W moved into the White House. I don't think that they make their mothers proud, unless they have really stupid mothers,

Apparently, they're too stupid to realize that those things automatically reset back to the default the moment you check out of the room.

You didn't "spare the next occupant" of anything, moonbat. FNC came right back into the lineup the minute you checked out and didn't pay your bill for the gay porn you ordered.

Their obsession with FNC is amusing.

That last post shut the thread down it seems.

I haven't checked but i'd bet he was TS'd shortly thereafter

I've never understood this, regardless who does this sort of thing. Common sense dictates that if one is opposed then one should listen to the opposition as a function of preparedness for debate and so you can make battlefield converts in gas stations and workplace interactions.

The only battlefield the DUmmies ever experience is in their own head. If these people truly did half of the "conversions" they said they have, then they'd never post in an echo chamber like DU.

Remember it's only freedom of choice if there's an unborn baby involved.

The most amazing thing about their behavior is that they are PROUD of it. Like they've done something noble or brave.

I'm amazed the TV worked. The one time I went to a function at an Eagles lodge, it was a decidedly low budget place.

I guess after poster #13 reply as to let who ever stays in the room have a choice to what they want to watch. They are still scratching their heads trying to figure out a correct response.
