A 19-year-old Pennsylvania councilman is in jail after he drunkenly stole Mitt Romney campaign signs from a neighbor's lawn and then drove his car through a soybean field, destroying an acre of crops, according to police.

Young Kyle Bower's alcohol-fueled joyride was cut short when his car got stuck in the field and Bower, the youngest elected official in the tiny town of Alburtis, decided to abandon it -- leaving the campaign signs and a couple empty beer bottles inside.

You have to wonder about a community when they vote for a 19 year old to be on their council. I'm not saying that there aren't the occasional exceptional 19 year olds out there, but they really must not have many adults interested in running for office.
