I'd be happy for Obama to be president of his ancestral Kenyan village.

Or his ancestral Irish village or a neighboring planet.

What's the polling on Mars? I heard he's already been there. (http://www.ufo-blogger.com/2011/11/obama-visited-mars-president-response.html) :biggrin-new:

Martians are confused because due to them not having hands they don't know what hand outs are, most of them will vote for the Green Party candidate.

What's the polling on Mars?

Of the three American entities on Mars (opportunity, spirit, curiosity) only Spirit currently votes Democrat and has been doing so since 2010. But Romney has strong appeal with Opportunity and Curiosity.

We laugh about this, but I will bet even money that there is an ACORN chapter in Kenya that passed out absentee ballots for him.

witch doctor John Dimo tossed some shells, bones and other items to determine who will win Tuesday's election. He better be careful. He could easily be sued for using proprietary NBC polling methods.

I'll bet there are ACORN chapters all over passing out bogus ballots for him. I remember 08 when I heard that he had been involved with ACORN. I thought that would finish him when that got out, but should have known better. America was gripped with that hope and changey stuff. Blech.

Given the demographics and the difficulties they deal with, I think it's amazing that the people of some village in Africa even know much less give a shit who the President of the United States is. I certainly can't name an African president off the top of my head, with the possible exception of Zimbabwe, South Africa, Egypt, and Morocco. I know who the Archbishop of Nigeria is, but that's because I send him hatemail.

When it's one of their own, you can bet your bottom dollar that they're aware. I was in Tanzania and visited a Masaii camp, where they all jumped around in a bunch of muddy cow dung in some sort of tribal dance. When I asked the driver how they knew that the group was coming, he said they faxed him. You'd be amazed at how connected the world is. And most of them spoke English.

I'm sure that he forgives you.

The reason that you don't know who is in charge of most African countries is that they don't project power outside of their immediate spheres of influence, don't provide security for their allies, don't send aid throughout the world or otherwise influence events. They know who is in charge in the US because they know who sends them aid, who brokers the peace when they finally stop fighting with each other and who leads the rest of the world into the future.
