Take a big gulp, New York: Hizzoner is about to give you a pop.

Nanny Bloomberg unleashes his ban on large sodas on March 12 — and there are some nasty surprises lurking for hardworking families.

Say goodbye to that 2-liter bottle of Coke with your pizza delivery, pitchers of soft drinks at your kid’s birthday party and some bottle-service mixers at your favorite nightclub.

They’d violate Mayor Bloomberg’s new rules, which prohibit eateries from serving or selling sugary drinks in containers larger than 16 ounces.

Bloomberg’s soda smackdown follows his attacks on salt, sugar, trans fat, smoking and even baby formula.

I don't care as much about what Bloomberg is doing with soda as what he is doing in Illinois:

Bloomberg's Anti-NRA Message — And Money — Could Sway House Race In Chicago (http://www.npr.org/blogs/itsallpolitics/2013/02/23/172709613/bloomberg-s-anti-nra-message-and-money-could-sway-house-race-in-chicago)

Why the blazes this mayor should have the ability to sway races in far away states is beyond me.

He thinks he is a feudal lord and is spreading his ideas to other kingdoms.

He thinks that it makes him look more presidential.

You can't have a 2 liter delivered with your pizza, but you can order 6 individual drinks...

Bloomberg has too much money and does not understand how the little people live.

Deport him and Bobby Jindal.

Six individual drinks cost three times as much as the 2 liter bottle.

Deport him and Bobby Jindal.

Last time I checked, Bobby Jindal didn't care if you ordered soda. Try to stay on topic.

This makes Michelle's plan to get little kids to eat better and get more exercise look pretty benign in comparison.

Bloomberg has every right to do with his money what he wishes just as much as the dreaded Koch Brothers or Soros or any of the Hollyweird types.

Personally, I find it more amusing and interesting that there has to be a money-push for anti-NRA people in Illinois, of all places.

The Bloomster is no Conservative but he's doing an excellent impression of a fascist.

Wow, NY is almost beating California for nanny state-ism crown.

So glad I moved out of there more than a decade ago.
