Just so you know ....

If there is anyone out there that doesn't know this,
this is the best visual presentation I ever saw...
Just remember who did this when you vote....

How many zeros in a billion?

This is too true to be funny.

The next time you hear a politician use the
word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about
whether you want the 'politicians' spending
YOUR tax money.

A billion is a difficult number to comprehend,
but one advertising agency did a good job of
putting that figure into some perspective in
one of it's releases.

A.
A billion seconds ago it was 1959.

B.
A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.

C.
A billion hours ago our ancestors were
living in the Stone Age.

D.
A billion days ago no-one
walked on the earth on two feet.

E.
A billion dollars ago was only
8 hours and 20 minutes,
at the rate our government
is spending it.

While this thought is still fresh in our brain...
let's take a look at New Orleans ...
It's amazing what you can learn
with some simple division.

Louisiana Senator,
Mary Landrieu (D)
is presently asking Congress for
250 BILLION DOLLARS
to rebuild New Orleans . Interesting number...
what does it mean?

A.
Well... if you are one of the 484,674
residents of New Orleans
(every man, woman, and child)
you each get $516,528.

B.
Or... if you have one of the 188,251 homes in
New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.

C.
Or... if you are a family of four...
your family gets $2,066,012.

I've seen it before but it was excellent the second time too. Enough is enough. Not only do we need to stop spending, we need debt reduction. This is national suicide.

Vote the weasels out. Demand term limits and line item vetoes.

Ok, I'll play.

YOUR Congress approved it.
Your Congress now wants to change history and crawfish out of any responsibility.
Your Congress has, counting this week, accomplished NOTHING!

Businesses COULD and WOULD if they did not have to pay the unreasonable taxes and if we stopped illegal immigration.

Well, when you consider they cut the intelligence budgets and imposed rules on our intelligence agencies that prevented them from getting good intelligence, I would say ABSOLUTELY.

I blame almost every snake in Washington for this retarded war. I just blame the Democrats for not having me home yet (since they swore they would if we gave them power in 2006) :p

Seriously though at least this bull-plop war is almost finished. There's really not that much going on out here now, the whole atmosphere has changed from when I was here in April of 2006. What a difference a Surge makes.

The real kick in the teeth is knowing that for all of us out here carrying weapons & getting shot at, there are equal amounts of KBR employees (half of which look like they'd be working as WalMart greeters or crack salesmen if they weren't here) sitting on their ass making 3-4 times a month what we do. :(

Hey, Moo, my mom just sent me this, its along similar lines,

Hi Everyone,

I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG. Instead, I'm in favor
of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend. To
make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S.
Citizens 18+. Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every
man, woman and child.

So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up.. So divide 200
million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00. My plan is
to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free.

So let's assume a tax rate of 30%. Every individual 18+ has to pay
$127,500.00 in taxes.

That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam. But it means that
every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.

A husband and wife team has $595,000.00. What would you do with
$297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?

Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.

Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads.

Put away money for college - it'll be there.

Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.

Buy a new car - create jobs Invest in the market - capital drives
growth.

Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves.

Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else!

Remember, this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks
who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is
cutting back. And, of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces. If
we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it ... instead of
trickling out a puny $1000.00 ("vote buy") economic incentive that is
being proposed by one of our candidates for President. If we're going to
do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!

As for AIG - liquidate it. Sell off its parts. Let American General go
back to being American General.

Sell off the real estate. Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it
up and clean it up. Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.
Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work." But can you imagine the
Coast-To-Coast Block Party! How do you spell Economic Boom? I trust my
fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion We Deserve It
Dividend more than do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC .

Now how about the $700,000,000,000.00 Bail Out??? Let's spread that one
around too!!!!

P.S.: Feel free to pass this along to your pals as it's either good for
a laugh or a tear or a very sobering thought on how to best use $85
Billion!!

I canít believe that patriot45 would actually re-post an idiocy by megimoo, in which the basic math is so flawed. Dear fuck-tards: At 200,000,000 Americans, thatís only $5.00 per billion! Hello? Anybody out there?
