And they've had crazy protests down there. Just think, in 3 years, that's where the Olympics are going to be.

Coming soon to ESPN, Live Soccer Gladiators where the losing team doesn't just lose they die! In the event of a tie both teams will be mowed down by small caliber machine gun fire.

The game is so boring they have to kill each to make it half way interesting. Now I know Eagle fans were nowhere near as bad as this :d

Wow, and one of my friends thinks that the NHL is too violent.

The NHL is like pro-wrestling on skates. Soccer is much more violent, at least in the stands, but it does spill out onto the field occasionally, which is pretty much the only time that it gets interesting.

You must not be a hockey fan to make this statement. Fighting in hockey isn't like it was in the 70's/80's. You might get a fight or 2 max in a game if you really want to call that dance they do actually fighting. This is not a fight:

THIS is a proper hockey fight:

It would never occur to me to quarter someone. I'm not sure I would have the slightest idea how to do it. That must have been a helluva knife he had.

Savages.

I'm not a hockey fan, but you make my point, which is that fights in hockey are about as lethal as pro-wrestling bouts (in fact, the WWF risks greater injury with the inclusion of chair hits). OTOH, soccer fans routinely kick the crap out of each other, and deaths in the stands are not unheard of. The Wikipedia article on football hooligans cites 17 murders or attempted murders in the sport. You'd have a hard time finding an American sport that has as much violence among fans.
