President Obama was bound to receive a warm response from the audience attending his speech at the University of Central Missouri yesterday — because some students who disagreed with him weren’t allowed into the building.

Christopher White of The College Fix reports that students wearing “Tea Party T-Shirts and others who wore patriotic or Republican-inspired clothing” were turned away at the door under the guise of security concerns, despite the fact that they held tickets to the event.

I’d like to offer a helpful tip to all College Republicans who hope to attend an Obama speech in the future: Odds of admission improve if you wear a Che Guevara t-shirt, an “I Heart Kim Jong Un” campaign button, and/or a ballcap displaying the slogan “Obama Girl” prominently above the brim.

I would be nervous too, if someone held up a cross or splashed him with holy water............

I find that they were by their own admission adorned in political statements and props to be rather suspicious that they were intending on being studious participants in hearing the speech. Especially with consideration to the following statements they made after the fact.

OK, quite evident which side of the political spectrum you fall on. I suppose leftist groups NEVER come near conservative speakers wearing props. (see, there's that smiley denoting sarcasm) Had a Republican been speaking and liberals had been kept out, you'd be hooting and hollering.

Cindy Sheehan got thrown out of the State of the Union (http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/01/31/sheehan.arrest/) (Dubya) because she wore a T-shirt with the number of American dead in Afghanistan.

And the left hooted and hollered.

And the left hooted and hollered.

I remember it well. And yet, they turn around and do the same thing.
