A 350-pound brute hurled slurs at a gay man and his transgender girlfriend and then whipped out a razor and slashed one of them at a crime-plagued McDonald’s in Greenwich Village, police said.

Jamar McLeod, 24, said he and his girlfriend, Jalisa “JoJo” Griffen had just picked up her hormone medicine Wednesday night and were headed back to their apartment in Bushwick when they ducked into the fast food joint on W. Third St. to use the bathroom.

McLeod, who is 5-foot-6 and 170 pounds, was holding hands with Griffen, who was wearing a tight-fitting pair of sweatpants and sweatshirt. The suspect, who was waiting for his cheeseburger around 7 p.m., apparently overheard them talking about gay bashing.

Better to go to Burger King where you can have it your way.

Ouch!

“You’re using the wrong bathroom!” the suspect hollered, according to a police source.

McLeod said the big-bellied ogre then threatened to beat up his girlfriend. “No, you're going to fight me, you’re not going to lay your hands on her,” he countered.

The suspect said he would take him up on his offer, but was going to get his cheeseburger first.

McLeod and Griffen took that as an opportunity to leave, but the suspect followed them, ignoring his meal.

In front of the McDonald’s the suspect took a swing at McLeod, who, using his boxing skills, was able to dodge it.

McLeod pummeled the hatemonger and kneed him in the groin, making him fall to the ground. When the bully got back up, he had a razor.

New York has been having a run of attacks on gay people or those perceived to be gay. I keep telling them to carry guns, but they think that their hipness or street savvy or wealth or address will protect them.

The dude can't be gay and have a girlfriend or the dude that used to be a dude that is now a girl can not be a girl and is still a dude.

I'm confused.

This might help. Can you blame the guy for falling in love?

Carrying a gun without a permit in NYC is a felony. Getting a carry permit is next to impossible. My dad, who is a WWII vet, used to be a landlord, and he would pick up rents in bad neighborhoods. He and my mom also ran a Democratic Party clubhouse in Manhattan. His application for a carry permit languished for months at the NYPD, until he got a few of his DNC contacts to grease the process, but even then, it was expensive and convoluted. For someone who doesn't have a city council member on speed dial, it's a lot harder.

Just out of curiosity, which bathroom was the guy/gal using?

Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

What difference does it make? I'm more interested in why these people were in Greenwich Village. The last time I was there, which granted was many years ago, it was a pretty frou-frou neighborhood.

Better to be free to defend yourself in the first place.

It makes a rather big difference if a man was using a ladies' rest room. It means that the confrontation was instigated by his misconduct. It doesn't remotely excuse the assault, but it does demonstrate that there are consequences to the gender confusion currently being promoted.

The Village extends across Manhattan, from the Hudson to Alphabet City. It has frou-frou parts and rougher parts, and anyone can get there by subway. It's always been a hangout for odd characters, and there is no dress code.

What is a "transgender" anyway? A goy, or a byrl? http://members.socket.net/~mcruzan/avatars/scratchhead.gif

I'm sure that he was a Goy (he didn't look Jewish), but as for the rest, who knows? It's just more gender chaos from the Alinsky crowd.

You and Lawrence O'Donnell have a lot in common.

Does anybody remember that "guy" who went through a sex change procedure to become a "girl"? Then, when it was too late, he decided to revert back to a "guy". Unfortunately, his/her/its/whatever "manhood" had gone in the trash.

Some people just can't deal with who they are supposed to be.

Aside from the same number of limbs, I don't think that O'Donnell and I have anything in common.

Generation Why?
