Has any other prospective 'First Lady' ever entered the political fray?

I think I remember Laura, Hillary, Tipper, Elizabeth, etc., maybe speaking to women's groups or some such about what great guys their husbands were.
But I don't remember them attacking their husbands' opponents.
Do you?

I think Cindy's WAY over the line.OMG. How quickly they forget "We are the president". :rolleyes:
