And before the usual suspects start ranting, we get so many stories about the young female teachers who have sex with their male students. We should be able to talk about the homosexual male teachers who do so as well.

HOUMA, La. (WWLTV) — A Louisiana school teacher is behind bars for having sex with a student and exposing him to the AIDS virus.

Terrebonne Parish sheriff’s deputies arrested Derrick Nesby, 37, Wednesday at H.L. Bourgeois High School, the school where he teaches.

The 37-year-old is accused of having sex with a 16-year-old male student at the school.

“We can establish the fact that there was an encounter that happened,” said Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Chief of Detectives Malcolm Wolfe.

Investigators say Nesby was also a track coach and had only been employed at the school for a year. Detectives believe it was during the past school year that he engaged in inappropriate contact with the teen.

However, Nesby denies all the allegations.

“We continued our investigation where we established more evidence that something did happen, and at that point we got a warrant for his arrest,” Wolfe said.

What is even more shocking is that through the detectives’ investigation, they learn Nesby has AIDS.

Deputies say despite knowing he had AIDS, Nesby exposed the teen to the virus without his knowledge.

In addition to facing a charge of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, Nesby faces a charge of intentional exposure of the AIDS virus.

“Both of these charges are felonies. Both of these charges carry with them the maximum prison sentence of 10 years in prison,” Foret said. “They’re both very serious felonies.”

A judge originally set Nesby’s bond at $500,000. Friday morning, Terrebonne Parish detectives officially charged Nesby with the additional charge of intentional exposure of the AIDS virus, therefore his bond has doubled and he remains in jail on a $1,000,000 bond.

If a gay teacher exposes a student to AIDS and Nova is not around to read it, will there be a fuss?

Not for nothing, I'm interested to see if he gets the same kind of sentence female teachers get.

If the MSM covered PS teacher and staff sexual abuse of students in the same proportion as the coverage of sexual abuse by Catholic priests, the "news" programs and papers would have to be expanded. Not that such unbiased proportional coverage would happen in this generation.

The little bugger will never grow up to be a gay activist this way.

He should be tried for statutory rape and attempted murder. Anybody who purposely exposes another person to AIDS should be tried for attempted murder IMO.

If he did it, yes. Something seems off a bit on this one, imo.

....... Anybody who purposely exposes another person to AIDS should be tried for attempted murder IMO.

It's been done before so there is precedence.

In Oregon, a man who knew that he was infected with HIV was convicted of multiple counts of attempted murder after he failed to tell several women of his HIV status and had unprotected sex with each of them.

The state of Florida believes Ignacio Perea Jr. tried to kill three young boys. The alleged weapon? The AIDS virus that has infected his body. Mr. Perea sits in a Dade County jail today, charged with attempted first-degree murder in the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of the boys in separate attacks.

In rural Oregon, a former Marine and lay minister is awaiting trial on attempted-murder and sexual-assault charges in the alleged rapes of nine children. Prosecutors secured the indictments after the defendant tested positive for HIV.

A York, Pa., man infected with HIV was convicted earlier this month of raping his two young daughters. An earlier charge of attempted murder was dropped before trial because prosecutors were unsure they could prove that he intended to kill them.

A Texas burglar with acquired immune deficiency syndrome is serving a 99-year prison term for attempted murder for spitting at a prison guard. Two appeals courts have rejected his pleas for clemency.

California's "Willful Exposure" Law
The law makes it a felony punishable by up to eight years of imprisonment for an HIV-positive person to "willfully expose" another person to HIV through unprotected sex.

A 30-year-old Sunrise (Miami, Fla)man is charged with attempted second-degree murder and criminal transmission of the AIDS virus, along with five other charges involving sex with a 15-year-old boy, according to Pembroke Pines police.

Steven Boone, at 31-year-old Ottawa man, has been found guilty of three counts of attempted murder and three counts of aggravated sexual assault.

It's not the ages. I'm questioning what the evidence is-is it the kid's word against the teacher's, or is their physical evidence?
