“She conveyed to me that Mrs. Ramsey had indicated that if she only had 10 days to live that she would kill all black people,” mother Kimberly Ashcraft told WAVY-TV.

Ashcraft said other students were nearby when Ramsey made the comment.

“I was completely shocked,” Ashcraft said. “I asked her again, ‘Are you sure that was what you heard?’ I could not have imagined a teacher saying that.”

The sheriff told the TV station that other students confirmed the details, and Ramsey was suspended without pay.

But she was back on the job after a couple of days, Ashcraft said.

So, I'm thinking a number of things.

1) A teacher did this? What was she thinking?

2) This is why people hate unions and teacher tenure.

3) I'm in shock that it was a teacher, but not shocked at all that it happened in NC. Conservatives over the years (on these boards, not necessarily in RL) tend to tell me I'm being a drama queen and that it's not that bad. I guess you have to be a teacher or in another position of authority for outrageous racism to make the news.

Wow the teacher should never be allowed to teach again.

Sorry Lanie ...

I don't bother to read leftie blogs. Only came in to say that the Dems appear to be so desperate at the moment, having nothing positive to say about Mr. O and his destructive policies ( and yes ... they are definitely still on the ballot) that they are doing everything in their power to deflect from them ...

That all they have to fall back on is racism.

Funny that! Since with all the cheating in every way possible known to man, that they do in each and every election (especially now with their backs up against the wall what with their Dear Leader's abysmally falling numbers) ...

It would not surprise me in the least if they turn out to be the winners in Tuesday's most important race!

:vomit: :vomit: :vomit:

I truly will cry for our once great country if this happens. I can not bear the thought of it!

Rant over ...

Outta here, before I get myself all upset!

Just because some Democrats play the race card doesn't make the problem any less real. It's not so much a Republican or a conservative problem as much as it's a culture problem down here. They're Republican and Democrat racists.

Actually, the teacher should vote Democrat to protect her interests because it has to be union and tenure keeping her in.

Apologies Lanie ...

Although I meant every single word of what turned out to be a "rant," was not the place to do it.

I'm sorry things have been bad lately. It'll be over soon, and I really think it's going to swing in the Republican's favor on a national level.

Both national and local I think. Liberals have pushed America to hard in their zeal to install socialism here against the will of the people. They have had enough of the lies the dems spew continuously.

This is all based on a child's report to her mother and backup by her friends. The teacher in question is a math teacher and is particularly hard according to WAVY.

I smell a bit of a rat here.

Add that to another WAVY report where her students are defending her:

Students defend teacher accused of racist remarks
http://wavy.com/2014/11/01/students-defend-teacher-accused-of-racist-remarks/

CAMDEN COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) – Students of a Camden County teacher who is accused of making a racist comment are coming to her defense...

...“Ms. Ramsey is not that type of person, to be racist or to talk about anyone that way,” said Camden County High School senior Tiffany Kight....

“There is no racism in her heart, even if she attempted it,” added senior Krystal Smith.

Some of the other eight students who were in the classroom that day are coming Ramsey’s defense.

“She was talking about things personally that happened to her, but she never said she wanted to harm anyone,” said senior Corin Sawyer.

“Everyone is putting her into a corner and making her seem like she is a bad person,” added Kight.

“There were eight of us in that room,” Smith said. “Six of us have the same story, and two of them don’t make sense....”

In other words, most of the student witnesses back the teacher; only 2 of them do not. Something just isn't right here.

But some of their defense is that they don't view their teacher that way.

“There is no racism in her heart, even if she attempted it,”

They're doing an investigation now. When you're teaching, you shouldn't even sound close to being racist. It's a bad idea.

6 of the 8 students who witnessed the alleged "racism" actually said it did not occur. And that is in a highly-charged atmosphere where anything can be turned into racism. This statement ("“There is no racism in her heart, even if she attempted it,” ) is actually ambiguous and not made by an actual witness. Krystal seems to be assuming the story is true without knowing for sure.

The actual facts of the case are that 6 of the 8 student witnesses said the teacher never said this. The entire allegation is based on the words of two students whose accounts vary wildly with everyone else's. Many students are defending the teacher.

Perhaps "Rat" spelled with a big, red, capital F. I think the fact of the accusation being made public to the local MSM before the investigation has hardly started should be seen as possibly indicating a false accusation. And the conflicting statements from "witnesses" similarly supports the possibility that this is an attempted MSM-Lynching.

I think taking all these "news" reports with a nice, big, block of salt would be advisable.
