This should probably go under Stupid Liberal Tricks, but I felt this was the appropriate thread to post it since it has to do with the election. Whether or not you agree with the guy, I think it is fucked up to go after him simply because he doesn't share the liberal point of view. Joe is NOT running for public office and there are plenty of people in his situation. As I mentioned in another post, when the liberals piss all over themselves over something it's because the issue is favorable to McCain.

Unpaid Taxes? Say It Ain't So, Joe (http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/16/joe-plumber-owes-taxes/comments/)

Tell that to Charlie Rangel. Oh that's right, he writes the law so he doesn't have to follow it.

The weird thing is the plumber wasn't a plant at one of the annointed one's rallies. The greyt O had gone to his neighborhood and the man unfortunately prompted a response from the Messiah that revealed Barack's real mindset.

The press and the Obama supporters are showing their true colors. They demonize and trample anyone who gets in their way.

They'd best watch it. Those folks in Pennsylvania, you know the ones who cling to their religion and their guns, just might catch on that the haughty one doesn't really have their best interests at heart.

You’d have thought that before using this fine example of the ‘Everyday Man’ the RNC would have spent at least a day vetting his history and tax-bill status.

Put right foot forward - point gun at foot - pull trigger.

Vetted him? Obama made an unscheduled stop and Joe was out in his yard. Are they supposed to vet the whole country? Obama stepped in his own shit and he is paying the price.

Amazing, isn't it? Some citizen voices his opinion and that's cause for rooting through his personal life with a fine toothed comb. George Orwell would be proud indeed.

Interesting that the Socialists don't address the "S" Corporation folks in their "No taxes on people making less than $250k" (or $200k or whatever the number is today).

There are a LOT of "S" Corps who are going to get creamed by Hussiens tax plan.

In this day and age there’s no excuse not to check up on people’s background - especially if you’re going to use him as the economic center-piece of your debate verbiage. Again people, this screams of weakness on the RNC’s part and makes the whole organization look like an old, WWI battleship being pummelled from above by modern enemy aircraft. An anachronism - due for the museum or the ship breaker's yard.

What if they’d have found out later that the guy’s a member of the KKK? Sad, slow and pathetic.

What doe it matter who he is?
He asked Hussien a legitimate question and Hussien inserted his foot in his mouth because he didn't have a teleprompter.

Live with it, retread.

Why does it matter in this particular case? If Joe Plumber was a member of the KKK, does that mean he can't have an opinion on the tax policies proposed by either of the candidates? What would membership in the KKK or the NAACP have to do with tax policies in the context in which he raised them?

Sure, Obama "vetted" Jeremiah Wright for 20 years and didn't notice he was a racist, hate monger.Didn't realize his associate Ayers was a terrorist. Didn't notice Rezco was a crook. Didn't notice ACORN was corrupt.

Obama stumbled on Joe the plumber - just like he stumbles on everything.

You made some comments about promising your father you would vote for McCain and then you said he was dead. Semantics....

Now back to vetting.

Not semantics. You were making an assumption, without any justification - just kind of shooting from the hip - thinking you actually knew what you were speaking of and that’s a shame. I happen to believe that people should always do everything they can to follow through with a promise and I’ll vote out of respect to that commitment, and the memory of the Chief.

Now - on to vetting. Did the RNC actually go out, look and find any evidence of what they’re accusing Obama of - something that would hold up in a common court of law? Or is it all just accusation? Joe the Plumber was picked by the RNC as their show-piece. They should have done even a half-assed job of research and they would have found legal public documents therein - not just verbal accusations.

Again - all of the RNC’s show screams desperation.

George Voinovich calls Barack Obama a 'socialist' (http://blog.cleveland.com/openers/2008/10/george_voinovich_calls_barack.html)

Sen. George Voinovich, what do you really think of Barack Obama, the Democratic candidate for president?

"He is left of Teddy Kennedy. With all due respect, the man is a socialist."

Ohio's senior senator, a Republican, made his comments Thursday to a reporter for The Daily Sentinel in Pomeroy, Ohio. He was visiting the Meigs County Republican Party.

Voinovich said he felt that John McCain, the Republican presidential candidate, had the "maturity, experience and proven record of reaching across the aisle" and would be a "responsible president" in one of the "most challenging times in the history of this country."

Voinovich's office did not back away from the "socialist" quote today.

Spokesman Chris Paulitz said it was based on Voinovich's strong belief in a limited role for the federal government. Paulitz cited the 10th Amendment, which says: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Said Paulitz: "Sen. Voinovich has been a mayor and a governor, and believes the 10th Amendment is sacred. And he does not believe that Sen. Obama has an understanding or respect of the 10th Amendment."

McCain and his running mate, Sarah Palin, do, said Paulitz, adding that Voinovich has spoken with Palin specifically about the government's role and that she, McCain and Ohio's GOP senator are in agreement.

If I am not mistaken, the MSM and/ or Fox announced the story before McCain knew who the hell this guy was. McCain does not have a crystal ball and does not control the media. Loons like Kennedy and Obama can squash media programs but not Repubs.

The only ones that stepped in it are O, Joe and the left wing media. I love it. These retards do not realize how much they are helping McCain. Keep bashing, you dumb liberals.

Question: when the media goes hog shit wild about a random citizen that criticizes your opponent? Do you order an immediate FBI investigation or do you try to fend off the vicious attacks against him? McCain handled it properly. You are nit picking.
