Haven't done any wings in a while, so we did them last nite for the Rays game. These are pretty hot so we made some without the heat!

Use your favorite dry rub on the wings for at least an hour or more. I used Grill Masters cinnamon chipotle rub.

In a pot add and simmerfor 1/2 hour;

4 cups various hot sauces, I used Crystals, Texas Petes, Mcilhenny red and green pepper sauce and some chipotle pepper sauce.

2 sticks butter
a bunch of sliced garlic
1 onion quartered
some dried hot pepper
fresh ground black pepper
6 Tbsp ranch dressing
salt to taste

Get grill hot and set to low. Put on wings and start basting with hot sauce. Every 10 minutes flip and baste with sauce till done about 180 degrees. Have some cold beer to cool down the heat!!

I had Hotwings last night & This afternoon myself. Done the easy way. 4 mile trip to Walmart and for $5 got a fair mess of Hot wings. They do 'em just right, not firehouse hot but hot enough to brings perspiration to the forehead. Even if that's too hot for some just dip 'em in some ranch dressing to back the heat of a tad.

Thanks for posting this....

I'm a sucker for chips and salsa and good hot wings. Try Franks Red hot sauce. It's supposedly the original Buffalo sauce.

Back in my high-school years I worked at a local pizza shop and made the Hot Wing sauce at part of my prep duties.

I swear our kitchen smelled like we were making chemical warefare agents during the process.

If I remember correctly...

1 GALLON of Franks Red Hot

4 STICKS of unsalted Butter

4 TBSP of Honey

You might want to reduce the recipe for home use :D
