WASHINGTON — The Justice Department is taking the final steps toward closing the politically charged investigation into the shooting death of an unarmed black teenager in Ferguson, Mo., and clearing the white police officer involved of civil rights charges.
Federal prosecutors have begun work on a legal memo recommending no civil rights charges against the officer, Darren Wilson, law enforcement officials said.

That would close the case in the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown. An investigation by the F.B.I., which is complete, found no evidence to support the charges against the officer, the officials said.

A broader civil rights investigation into allegations of discriminatory traffic stops and excessive force by the Ferguson Police Department remains open, however. That investigation could lead to significant changes at the department, which is overwhelmingly white despite serving a city that is mostly black.

The state authorities concluded their investigation into Mr. Brown’s death in November and similarly recommended no charges.

Too bad that they've ruined the life of a good officer and his family for a lie that couldn't be proven. You've got to love the left and their protestors with their paid by Soros professionally printed signs. You've got to love how those merchants had their life savings taken away for the lib dreams.

The whole thing was just crazy. The cop had contusions on his face, the kid had obviously not only hit him but managed to leave his blood inside the front of the car. The only way the cop could have been found guilty of anything is if they had proof the kid was laying on the ground when he was shot.

Why is the person who lit the match on this entire incident still walking around free?

Dorian Johnson, because of his lying, has more blood on his hands than Wilson will ever have....

That "step-father" or boyfriend of the "unarmed teenager", Michael Brown, has a lot of blood on his hands, too, when he jumped up on the car and yelled "Burn it" to the enraged crowd. From there the burning and looting started.

Plus there's a whole lot of blood on the hands of George Soros, who apparently funded those organized groups that came by the busload to St Louis with all their lovely little printed signs. Gotta love those community organizers---look at what that philosophy got us with our beloved president, the community organizer.

At least he's not making a lot to do nothing, $8.50 an hour.

Ridiculous that you can only read the article if you answer their stupid question on what kind of auto insurance you have---or join the STLPD site (didn't follow that as figured they'd try to charge for it).
