I had an issue. When I logged in, all I got was your one comment. As you told me, I went up to the top left and clicked on "forum", which brought everything up.

It walks like a duck and talks like a duck?

Is it CU or an NSA trap?

Still trying to figure out the "activity stream".

Geeze, our friends on the left will be saying we're an echo chamber. :biggrin-new:

I'm not convinced this is real yet, could be a holodeck trap!

Well! After hanging out to dry and CC ignoring my registration.... It's about time I got back into action somewhere!!!!

Thank the software gods that CU has returned. I thought I had been excommunicated.

Now about this activity stream.....

Now about this activity stream.....

I know, I know. So far I can't find a way in the Options to
just turn it off. I've already asked the vB Techs who by the way
did a great job helping out as did our ISP.

The problem was an upgrade to the Server software that
triggered other upgrades and then made it necessary to
upgrade the vB version.

So that is why I see a new button called "Activity Stream"

If so, I hate it.

Why is it, when I click on our logo at the top, it takes me to the activity stream and not the forum as a whole?

That will make it harder to go to different sections of the forum.

Sorry there was no warning folks, I had no idea some
basic software maint. would kill us. The two that got us
were PHP and MySQL...

Like I said, I have a question in to Tech Support, I hate it to. :livid:

"New posts" works like "what's new" used to.

If you can find it in the pank format.

I may have to get a new version of the"Skin" to cure the color
problems. I have a email in to the Skin designer asking if
we need an upgrade with the new vB version...

I think I found the problem. When the post whore thread hit 122 pages it curved back on itself and shorted out.

So.... Activity stream is still there and still feeds out the same listing it did the day SR pulled us back from the morass.

Is it going to update? go away? start becoming useful?

Not sure what you mean...
As far as I can tell everything is back to the way it was.
I don't even see Activity Stream anymore...

Is anyone else seeing Activity Stream again???

Question - since the crash and restoration, I don't see the "new posts" feature anymore, just lists of threads. Is it gone or am I doing something wrong?

New Posts is still there at the top left it just isn't acting the
same since our forced software upgrade. It's on a list!

I see "what's new" at the very top, above the CU logo, but it's not by thread, just random posts as they come in. Oh, well.

I miss the "what's new" too. Now you have to go to Forum and look through each category to find the new posts and threads, unless there is another way, which I haven't figured out.

At the top of the page, directly below the "Forum" box, in barely discernible color contrast, are the words "new posts". Clicking this will produce the same result as what "what's new" did before.

That is what I use as well. Harder to see after the update but I know where to click!

I'm glad the server update removed Rock's thread with all the naked pigs. :biggrin-new:
