Dark Scribe got me thinking with the Stromboli recipe. I called my dad and got this recipe from him, first time I have tried it. Very good as an antipasti! I'm thinking Italian, tomorrow.... Lasagna!!
2 lb hard salami 1/4" cubes
2 lbs ham 1/4" cubes
2 lbs mozzerella cheese 1/4" cubes
8 eggs beaten
4 pre made pie crusts
Put the meat and cheese in a large bowl and pour the eggs over.
Mix up real good, get everything coated.
Use a slotted spoon and fill the pie crusts with the meat and cheese mixture, making sure you let the excess egg drip thru the slotted spoon.
Put crusts in a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, it should start getting brown on top.
Take out and cool off, this is best eaten cold. Enjoy, Mange chevallo!!!:D
