I don't give a fuck.
I will listen the day you lot, DU, Kos, HuffPO, the WH Press Corps...all get down on your knees and beg President Bush's forgiveness.
Until then you are cordially invited to take this crap and shove it where the sun dont shine with a ten foot sharpened metal tent spike :mad:
I will not forget
I will not forgive
I will treat Obama with the same love, compassion, understanding and tolerance you have given Pres. Bush over the last eight years.
I.E. none

I believe in playing by the rules they set up and I'm with you.
Which is convenient, since I can't stand PresidentElect X, so I might as well enjoy the next 4 (or less) years railing against his every word and step.

I think taking the high road is a better choice, but I'm not going to fault you for feeling the way you feel. You're certainly justified.

I don't get the meaning of 52 to 48 ?

It references the 52% of people who voted for Obama and the 48% who voted for McCain.

Yeah, but you have to admit that 10% is some scary shit !!!

The "funniest" thing about this election is the reaction of the winners. The Dims where I work, that were so aggressive about this whole election, are now slinking around like dogs with their tails tucked. All I can think is that they already have buyer's remorse. They aren't dumb, they just got caught up in the hype, and now they're realizing that they elected an inexperienced, untried unknown on the strength of a few vague promises and his skin tone...and put him in charge of the most powerful country in the world, in the middle of 2 wars and a probable recession. They have already realized that he won't fulfill any campaign promise they wanted, but will undoubtedly do some very harmful and shameful things to our country in the next 4 years...and it's too late to change their vote.

I don't really think it's fair to not support Obama as the President because of how some lefties were over the past eight years. I am pretty sure they don't represent most who voted Democrat. I'm also thinking that Bush may not approve since he's been there and done that.
But if it helps, I'm sorry I was a jackass about Bush the first term and for some of the second.

Republicans always take the high road, and it gets us nowhere. I've been told for 8 years that it is patriotic to refuse to support a leader that is not acting in the best interest of our country. I'm going to start taking that advice.
Obama is my president. But that doesn't mean I have to like it. He has made it very clear that he does not intend to act in my best interest.
I will simply hope that the next 4 years go by quickly and that he doesn't destroy too much of this country in the process. Unfortunately, I think he will exceed my expectations in that regard.

Sounds like hypocrisy goes both ways then. :(
One can disapprove of an action a President does and even protest them without being anit-the President. I'm sorry that some on these message boards have gone too far with it.

Some??
Try ALL. Tell it to the Marines, Lanie, because I am not buying that crap for one second.I have a piece of advice for you.
You'd have a great deal more credibility if you practised what you preached.
I am pretty sure they don't represent most who voted Democrat. And you'd be wrong.
I'm also thinking that Bush may not approve since he's been there and done that. Tell ya what Lanie...why don't you go to the Oval office, say some of the vile and revolting epithets that have been thrown around to his face...then come back and tell us what he says.
But if it helps, I'm sorry I was a jackass about Bush the first term and for some of the second.
"Some of the second"? Try all of it.
Too little, too late.

It is our turn to be on the attack with policies that conservatives oppose like more taxes, socialized meds, free gas and free mortgage payments per You Tube video, more union laws, more money for social engineering, higher capital taxes, more cuts in the military, more bailouts, more stimulus checks. Reparations will be next. We should all get behind this socialist who will lead us into a depression. God help us thru the wilderness.

Reparations will be next. We should all get behind this socialist who will lead us into a depression. God help us thru the wilderness. After skiing yesterday, I took my boat to the storage facility where I keep it. My monthly rent was due on the 12th, so I went in the office to pay it. I asked a few gentle questions that probed the political stance of the 2 guys that were in the office at the time. The first response I got puzzled me, so I was more direct with the next question: "So, do you think Obama will be good for the country?" The next response laid my fears to rest: "Definitely not".
We talked about 10-15 minutes about the dire consequences of what just happened on Tuesday night. They said people at another storage area were already not getting rents paid by the due date. When they inquired, 6 out of the 20 tenants said that with Obama winning the election, they thought they didn't have to pay anymore.
One of them told me about a wealthy man he knew. That guy plans on staying in the country, but 5 other people he knows plan on leaving now. I know it's hearsay, but I think it's quite believable. I don't know where they'd go...perhaps Ireland or New Zealand?? Certainly few places in Europe or Asia, no place in Africa or South America. It seems one of the differences between conservatives and liberals is that conservatives don't renege on their oath to leave when they see things ready to get really ugly.
But back to this whole 52-to-48 thing: Liberals are like spoiled little brat children. When they don't get their way, they wail and whine and throw temper tantrums and hissy fits. When they get their way, suddenly they expect their "playmates" to forget about all their bad behavior?

Lanie. here is a small snippet of what conservatives have endured over the last eight years
I also remind you that Pres. Bush has been utterly demonised over the last eight years, abused, reviled...and I did not ever see one word out of you condemning any of it.
Ever.
So I don't want to hear it. You have been part of the problem for eight years..and now you come back with this pious "why can't we all get along?"
Oh trust me, you dont want to hear what I really think.
