Mmmmmmm...Spam!!! (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/15/business/15spam.html?_r=1&oref=slogin) :D

AUSTIN, Minn. — The economy is in tatters and, for millions of people, the future is uncertain. But for some employees at the Hormel Foods Corporation (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/news/business/companies/hormel-foods-corporation/index.html?inline=nyt-org) plant here, times have never been better. They are working at a furious pace and piling up all the overtime they want.

I love Spam!!!

Fried with crispy edges?

I did not have SPAM for years, but after starting a similiar topic of a thread on another board a couple months ago, I started to purchase it again.

Comes in handy for a quick and easy meal, or even just a snack!

Spam is just pork shoulder. I have no idea why it has such bad reputation. You wouldn't want to serve it at a formal dinner party but it's fine for breakfast or in a sandwich.

Ooh yummy!
Spam is a combination of ham, pork, sugar, salt, water, potato starch and a “hint” of sodium nitrate “to help Spam keep its gorgeous pink color,” according to Hormel’s Web site for the product.

Because it is vacuum-sealed in a can and does not require refrigeration, Spam can last for years. Hormel says “it’s like meat with a pause button.”

... At Steve’s Pizza, a medium Spam and pineapple pizza costs $11.58.
...I'd have to be paid a lot more than $11.58 to eat Spam and pineapple pizza.

In the Orient it was considered a delicacy.

At formal Korean dinner parties and cocktail gatherings and you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting a tray of toasted Spam appetizers or some variation of Spamocity.

Most swanky!

I have not eaten spam in many years; I like it sauteed crispy in butter.
