Although he has a chance to opt out of his bloated contract and try to become even more grotesquely overpaid elsewhere, the underachieving Colin Kaepernick ought to stay on the wretched, 2-14 San Francisco 49ers. The team deserves him:
When the 49ers announced their team awards Friday afternoon, Kaepernick was the recipient of the Len Eshmont Award, given to the 49er who “best exemplifies the inspirational and courageous play of Len Eshmont, an original member of the 1946 49ers team.” The award, which was established after Eshmont died in 1957, is considered the most prestigious honor the players vote on.
The award has nothing to do with Kaepernick’s miserable performance on the field. This is his great accomplishment:
After sitting down for the national anthem before a preseason game, Kaepernick has knelt during the anthem for the entire season.
This has endeared him to the moonbats running ESPN, and to many of his fellow players throughout the NFL. Not to the fans though, who have been getting fed up with this crap
