Remember albums? 12 inch vinyl? When there was real "artwork" and other goodies in an album? Greatly reduced on CD's and missing altogether from MP3's.

I remember there was a pair of panties made out of the same stuff Handi-Wipes are made of, in my copy of Alice Cooper's Schools Out - and you could turn the album cover into a little desk.

Alas, those days are gone, but IF you remember them, what is/was your all time best album cover?

I think my all time favourite (DON'T READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU'RE OFFENDED BY BOOBIES) was Roxy Music's Country Life album. Banned in the USA, they just had a picture of the bushes, no girls. I had to go to Germany to get the uncensored version.

The American version is just missing something.

I'd choose The Triumph of Death from Black Sabbath's Greatest Hits.

Painted c. 1562 by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. It currently hangs in the Museo del Prado, Madrid. LINK (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Triumph_of_Death)

I remember that one, Linda.

You could NEVER find a copy where the cellophane was not ripped over the zipper.

Classic....I saw a VH1 documentary on the making of it the other night.

The design was by Storm Thorgerson.....
Love his cover art work.

Here's another.

So many to choose from... I've always had a thing for this one (Probably NSFW) ;) Lords of Acid: Voodoo U (http://gabber.od.ua/pics3/lords-of-acid-voodoo-u.jpg)

But Iron Maiden always did some crazy covers:

And you have just got to appreciate the genius in this:
