Everyone is either a dog person or cat person. Which are you?

Come on, people. You can like both or niether, but everybody falls into one category or the other. Think Elvis vs. Beatles.

Cats. They have more conservative values such as self sufficiency and independence. Dogs are socialist.

Haha, when my doorbell rings my dog takes out every thing in the way on the way to the door, woofing all the way! Its kinda funny, he's 110 lbs and I have wood floors! Screeeech! But the dumb cats fall over themseves going under the couch or on top of the cabinets, chickens.

Play rough with your dog and he is a happy camper, play rough with your cat and you bleed!:D

Cat person, although I agree they're assholes.

But cats don't need to be taught not to shit on the carpet.

Also, I thought it was Beatles vs. Monkees?

That sounds like it would be potentially very, very painful

I am the servant to a Blue Lynx-Point Siamese and his associate, the JROTC Rescue cat (my daughter and her friend found him while doing a security detail and somehow he ended up living in my house).

Cats are self-reliant masterminds who believe that they are better than us, who occasianally allow us to bask in their glory, and who play us like fiddles when it amuses them. Dogs, on the other hand, are obedient and secondhanded servants who go out of their way to gain our approval. I'm going to have to go with the independent hunter, over the obedient slave. I'll admit that cats are aristocratic douchebags at times though.

Sorry, but I honestly don't have a preference. I like both cats and dogs :p

I love cats...they make great companions. I love that they are natural hunters and very independent. You can go on a trip (leave enough food, water and litter) and a cat will take care of itself.

I had two kitties and now I am down to one. :( This morning my Fiance found our little Maine Coon, Brie Brie, on the side of the road...she got hit by a car. :( My 10 year old is devastated.

Prayers for the kids.

I have one of each, although I'm really more of a dog person. The cat came into my life when I almost ran her down with my car. She was a baby, and I took her in.

I've always had a dog, though. Dogs are buddies, cats are psycho killers, at heart. I love my cat, but if she was big enough, she'd kill me.

You should my cat "Stanley".
I got him at the vet, somebody had taped him into a box and left him on the vets doorstep. I was at the vet with one of the dogs, whom all had decided to play "leader of the pack" and this dog found out she wasn't.

Stanley weighs 22 pounds, he's not fat, it's all muscle. This cat follows me everywhere, he simply adores me. If I am sitting in a chair or lying on the bed, that cat is on me.

You need to move to west Texas, so those greyhounds have a coyote to chase! :)
