Texas Rising was one of my favorites and he nailed Sam Houston's character

He was one of those actors I'd seen in a lot of roles over the years and always liked. He made a polygamist into a sympathetic character on Big Love. I loved him in Tombstone, although everyone in that movie was overshadowed by Val Kilmer. He seemed like the kind of actor who could shine in an all-star movie like that.

Too young to die.

My dad died of the same thing. Except he was in a coma for 8 weeks before he died of pneumonia. He was 58.
