We've bought guns and supported gun rights with our votes this year. But, is there something else we can do? I think there is.

There are two publicly owned gun manufacturers...Smith and Wesson Holding Corp. (SWHC) and Strum, Ruger and Co., Inc. (RGR). Shouldn't we all own a piece of them?

Both company's stocks are in the toilet. S&W is trading around $2.00 a share and Ruger around $5.00. In Aug. '07, S&W hit a high of $22.80. Ruger at the time hit $22.58.

I think it's high time we all have a framed stock certificate for these companies hanging on a dining room wall. Don't you?

I like the idea. Is $7.00 a trade the cheapest? I'll probably only buy $20 each.

I carry a Springfield 1911 or an Ed Brown 1911... I own a couple S&W's and a couple Rugers. Not a huge fan of either, but S&W does make the best revolvers... or did. I own some old ones (2nd and 3rd gens).

Having some of their stock would be cool though.

For pistols, I'm a Colt Man. One each, revolver and 1991.

I'm a revolver man. I mean, I have my Beretta Model 92, but a wheel gun just feels right to me.

I own a Ruger and a Smith.

Why not own a little stock in these companies?

Interesting.
