My daughter was noshing on mashed sweet potatoes tonight and announced that if happiness was a vegetable it would be a yam because they were sunny colored and sweet.

This of course led to discussion on what other emotions would be if they were vegetables and fruit.

I said tomatoes would be love, since they are rich and red and juicy and form the base of so many different good things.

What can you come up with?

I asked my wife and she said sex would be a gherkin.

Never heard of it. Sounds like some Nepalese vegetable.

So it's either a little cuke used for pickles, or a really big building in London.

I guess you could describe a gherkin as "stubby but chubby"

Oh great, it's either a little cucumber, a cigar, a building, or, now, a bag.

Wait, I'm just gonna go with a cigar. A really good cigar.

I'm happy. This isn't as hard as I thought it would be. :D

Come to think of it..... that's what she said.
