The "sex" question in the next census could be made voluntary after claims it discriminates against transgender people.

The "tentative" recommendation has been made in an Office for National Statistics (ONS) report on gender identity.

The move would make the UK one of the first countries in the world not to require its citizens to tell officials what sex they are, according to the Sunday Times.

The proposed change for the 2021 census could leave Britain without an accurate figure for the number of men and women living in the country.

Research carried out by the ONS found the "sex" question included on the 2011 census, which requires respondents to choose whether they are male or female, "was considered to be irrelevant, unacceptable and intrusive, particularly to trans participants, due to asking about sex rather than gender".

They're busy packing each others poo poo hole but find the question intrusive ! Boy what a sad state of affairs when we allow a small group of people tell us we have to accept perversion and depravity plus make provisions to appease them in print or data base questions.

Simple solution to this.

Have 2 more boxes in "sex" section ...

One labelled "Trans" and another, "Morphing" ...

That should cover it! :biggrin-new:

If you have a Y chromosome, you are a man. It's really that simple. You can pretend to be a woman, you can get surgery to make you look like a woman, you can live somewhere where most people to refer to you as a woman, you can feel like a woman in an emotional sense, but you are still a man. You won't get periods, you won't be able to get pregnant and you won't go through menopause. And your surgeon will never be able to create a functional clitoris, so you will never have a real woman's sexual experience. LOL.

It's just a freaking census questionnaire.
