Imagine if the Church of Satan decided to hold a ceremony on a church lawn on Christmas Eve. That is the kind of dishonor, disrespect, and outright evil that we saw on Veterans Day from those who many formally looked up to, N.F.L. stars. Two San Fransico 49ers players, Eric Reid and Marquise Goodwin, disgraced the vets. So did Giants defensive end Olivier Vernon who “was just activated” and who took a knee on the day of honor, according to the Guardian.

Vernon, for his part, was protesting while he was injured. If the N.F.L. had any decency, he would never have been allowed to return from the D.L. at all.

To add to the folly, Reid said, “This is not about the military, this is not about the flag, this is not about the anthem. My mother served in the armed forces. Three of my uncles served in the armed forces.”

For him, it is about the myth of white privilege, the great plight of the left which isn’t real. Rather, it is about him not wanting to see thugs, criminals, and those who rob others (like Michael Brown) get the justice that they rightfully deserve. The unfairness that he and others preach about exist only within their own heads.
