Actor-comedian Harvey Korman has died at 81

Four-time Emmy winner Harvey Korman, best known for his over-the-top comedy sketches on The Carol Burnett Show, has died of heart failure in Los Angeles. He was 81.

AP is reporting that Korman died at UCLA Medical Center after suffering complications from the rupture of an abdominal aortic aneurysm four months ago.

Korman, who gained notoriety on "The Danny Kaye Show" in the mid-1960s, also had a featured part in Mel Brooks' iconic Western spoof, Blazing Saddles. Join him in reciting the movie's "Pledge to Hedley Lamarr":

Wow. He will be missed. RIP. I used to love him and Tim Conway on the Carol Burnett show.

Ah! How sad! I loved his work.

Good for his family in keeping this private for so long. Based on my own experience, 4 months is about how long it takes to quit crying randomly. :(

Well, who knew? I thought that was the type of thing they either fixed or you died from it right away. :o

He was great in all his roles but my favorite was Hedley Lamarr. I can't imagine another actor who was better suited for that role. He will be missed. :(
