If not Trump in 2016 which other Republican? No other Republican could have connected with these voters who crossed over to vote Trump. The GOP is committing suicide if they resist the Trump phenomenon in 2018 IMHO. I am in the game and will be voting to keep the Congress in Republican control. In order to cleanse the Obama era poison, Trump will need all 8 years. Sometimes, I despise the GOP establishment for the resistance they have put up. This is especially true of Lindsey Graham and John McCain.

Yup, none of the others had a snowballs chance in hell of beating Hillary or Bernie. I think Trump would have beaten Bernie but the electoral vote would have been a lot closer. They are unlikely to succeed, but if the NeverTrumpers manage to nominate someone other than Trump in 2020 then I will vote for the democrat since the Republic will be over and done for.
